DET @ LAD under 7.5
Last night I was hoping to get '8' on this play on Monday, and that's why I didn't pull the trigger until now. Since it is now obvious that no 8's will be avaible, I'll go with under 7.5, as a small play. Both pitchers are underated imo, and both have been good in 'bounce back' starts this year. Bonderman is 2-0 (1.69 era) after allowing 3 er or more and Lowe has a 2.45 era in two starts after allowing 4er or more this year. Lowe has also had a lot of success against the Tigers in his 'Redsox' time, as he allowed only 11er in 42 ip against them since 2001. The Dodgers stadium is stil a pitchers friendly ballpark, especially with two righty starters on the mound (11-3-2 under the total this year, compared to 9-2-2 for the over in games where at least one lefty starter was involved). The Tigers have a 16-7 'under' record on the road when at least one righty starter is involved. The Tigers will miss their DH today, as their DH position produced 7 hits in 11 at bats, with 5 RBI's, in their weekend series vs the Orioles. Actually, Detroit is 6-0 under the total, scoring 2 runs per game this season, when they are hitless from their DH spot. Long trip to the west coast and the late start should be another advantage for Lowe tonight.
Good luck,
WS
