Going to Vegas in September with a bunch of friends (all guys)

Any info/insight on these two places as i have been to vegas 10 times and haven't set foot in either...

pools/cabanas/clubs?

also...i prefer playing BJ out of a shoe (no one/two deck or auto shufflers)

recommendations?

They are within 100 yards of one another so therefore you will easily be able to check out both properties.

Fish, I understand they are close to each other. I won't be able to check them beforehand, and we want to stay at one or the other.
Just wanted peoples thoughts on one property vs the other...

Sorry for the confusion...

I like the pool and the nightlife better at the MIRAGE, although the T.I. has a couple nice bars that I really like.

The pool is better at the MIRAGE.

I would try the SUNDAY BRUNCH at the T.I.

As far as BJ, not sure how both compare at this particular time.

ps- If you do not feel like battling the heat, there is a tram that connects the two properties.

Gotta go with T.I. on this one. Overall the Mirage is nicer but Cantor's Deli at the T.I. (next to the sportsbook) makes the case for the T.I. overwhelming.

too many pirates running around there...very annoying. i think the bar areas in the mirage are much nicer and the sportsbook is better as well. the pool is the best around.

mirage. no contest.

I would not say that........as I have a soft spot in my heart for TREASURE ISLAND and it is actually a very nice place to gamble and mingle with the crowd.........and their coffee shop is 2-1 over the MIRAGE in my opinion.

Heck, their buffet and gourmet restaurant are VERY GOOD also, but possibly not QUITE up to par with THE MIRAGE.

mirage is nicer. pool is great there too. have not been in a while, but both places have the continuos shuffler machines, lots of them. your less likely to find them at TI at lower limits. Maybe you can find a $10 min. table at TI that is hand shuffled, maybe not. Very unlikely to find that at Mirage, sadly. At Mirage depending on time of day, they may not have any tables under $50 min or $25 min which are regular hand shuffled shoes.

I used to like Mirage and Bellagio I ignore them now due to this. I am not going to be ripped off when playing blackjack against some machine. I could stay home and do that on the internet.

I would stay at Mirage and if the BJ is no good, walk to Caesars Palace. They have good games. Or try some other casinos around there, Venetian is nice so is Paris and I think they hand shuffle all their games at those places too.

Mirage is very classy and I have always thought its one of the nicest places in town to be at. Auguably the best sportsbook in town too.

I've stayed at the TI many times and love it. You can charge to your room any meal from the Mirage. I like the TI because it's less crowded than the Mirage. You can get to a table and move around a lot easier. Plus there is a tram between the two.

Mirage is nicer, but of course you pay for it in higher cost food and rooms. TI is definitely upgrading itself though, nice lounge there and some decent restaurants coming in. The buffet is much better than it was before too. Staying at the TI gets you a good view of the Sirens too in the reserved area, so it may not be a bad choice especially if you get a better rate on it.

I just have to say it, but you have to be either handicapped or incredibly lazy to use that tram. It moves just a step faster than walking and it goes all of about the length of a football field at most. I never quite figured out why they felt it was necessary to build that thing.
