What is everyone's opinion on the BlueJays/Cubs game? :icon_conf

I think the BlueJays rock this game with their ace, Halladay! :suomi:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! I love to watch day games...but I don't want the action unless it is a winner...lol. :toast:

I'm gonna lay off this game. I like the Cubs being a big dog at home, but I can't pull the trigger on Sergio Mitre. If he gives up 3 or 4 runs, it'll be a tough go making up that kind of deficit against Halladay. GL whatever you decide to do.

Halladay has looked awfully sharp lately. In his last 5 starts he has only given up 3 runs in 39.2 innings. However could be tricky facing an opponent for the first time on a mound he's never pitched from.

Mitre appears to be a bum (according to minimal stats last couple years) so I'd probably stay away here.

I'm on toronto here, can't bet on Mitre...and the cubs have been weak at home lately, Zambrano thinks they have a disadvantage there!

good analysis

I have a 10-0 trend on the game today.

I'm taking my 5 year old son with his 3 year old brother today.

My older son is 10-0 during day games over the past two seasons.

Getting the +155 with that sort of trend is value you can't pass up. (although I warned my son that his streak may be in jeopardy).

I'm taking the Jays Halladay is on fire 5-0 with a 0.75 ERA in his last 5 starts and Mitre is 2-6 and an ERA of 6.87 in his career

If you've seen Halladay pitch this year at all you'd know there is only one real smart pick in this game... He had one bad game so far in which he was sick,, but other then that is looking like the Doc Halliday that won the CY Young in 2003.. If Prior or Zambrano were on the mound I would consider the Cubs in a dog role,, but Mitre???

Thanks
What's the weather like there? If it's windy it maybe an over game. The obvious choice is to take Toronto(Halladay). EDGE Cubs-only if it was really windy.

i know the under 9 +110 sounds very tempting to me since the o/u for these pitchers combined is 3/12.

I have a hard time pulling the trigger on big faves sometimes, but did so here as Halladay has been pitching his balls off...

good luck...

Mitre is looking impressive so far, totally in command - no baserunners through 4 innings plus an RBI double! I was REALLY bored at work today, so I went ahead and made a complete throwaway bet:

Run Line

</TD><TD class=accountText vAlign=bottom align=left>Toronto Blue Jays vs Chicago Cubs (-1.5) for Game</TD><TD class=accountText vAlign=bottom noWrap align=right>+325</TD><TD class=accountText vAlign=bottom noWrap align=right>30.77</TD><TD class=accountText vAlign=bottom noWrap align=right>100.00</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Still don't expect to win though, so I don't consider this as jinxing myself.
