I was lucky enough to have the Cards -1.07 .08 and .10 vs. Yanx/Wang. Also I bet series price which I thought very low, -1.10 .15 and .20. So I guessed right. My question is should I consider hedging game #2, taking the big unit vs. Mulder, yikes, because I have Morris vs. Pavano game #3. Partial hedge? First series bet I have bet in years. I am not kidding. The game #1 win is greater than total series investment, if that has some bearing. Hate to ask a newbie question but what would you do?

I never knew a newbie who even thought that way.

Best of luck at any rate.

Frog,

Great to see you in here. I would let the series bet ride. I don't see the Yanks winning two in a row here. Johnson has not been himself lately. I was planning on taking Moulder tomorrow, but may hold off now because I won so much with the Cards tonight. Hate going to the well too often. I had Cardinals as well today -1.12 as well as -1.5 at +1.70. Also used them in a parlay for fun with the over 8.5 in the Rangers/Marlins game at +1.05. Parlay played better than 5 to 1. :103631605 But I would surely let it ride. All you need is a split in the next two. You should get it done.

Well Frog. I just looked it over for you. You are looking good. Its 3 games so one more and you win. This is what I would do only because R Johnson will be great by the end of the year. He can't wait till the Playoffs to shine because they won't get there. If Stl wins tommorrow you win so its hedge on Saturdays game only. Bet Yanks +1.5 if you can. You will lay juice but you could get the middle too. Say you would win 100 on the series, ie Sat's game lay 80 on Yanks +1.5 and hope for middle.

Unfamiliar territory huh frog? I think youre a great poster in which you look into games whether it be a dog or fav. I think you did the right thing as well on the cards as they will sweep the yanks here. You saw how close that game was tonight! The numbers were in the cards fav all day! Good luck here as this whole forum needs a face lift

If the game 1 win was greater than the series investment. I'd let it ride. From a baseball view, I'd say the Cards are going to win this series. You know what some would be saying from the value viewpoint.

Randy's fastball isn't hitting the high 90's as much as he was. I'm seeing him hittable hitting only 92 on the gun. I'm wondering if his chronic knee problems are creeping up on him again.'

A few let it rides and a run line hedge this game. Problem on the runline is Yanx are favored and laying the 1 1/2 from what I have seen. Both pitchers have losing records vs opponents. Torre held a closed door meeting after uninspired loss. 3 errors and Yanx just going through the motions, again. The reason I was attracted to this series is just that, when the glory days start to end, former champs turn to chumps quick. And it is not like the Yanx are giving big unit a lot of run support. Also, he does seem to be slightly more hittable than years past. The velocity is not there. Pujols almost cycled, team is still best in National. Yanx looking like sub .500 scrubbers. Because they are I guess. My thought was taking Yanx for 1/2 my series investment today. If they lose, I still win half. If they win, I go into game three with a close to 2/1 series price. I am stuck in no man's land waiting for NBA to end, and nothing else to do. I am thinking why not try some bases. Well, I was hot, then ice cold and stopped. Just hit 2nd play yesterday this week, and off for several weeks to recover from blown saves. Had KC +1.24 middle game vs. collapsing S.F. So that is my story. I have a few hours to decide, half the value on Yanx, yikes, or let it ride. Do not like that closed door meeting. If the Yanx have any pride left they will at least hustle today. But even hustling that might not be enough. Thanks for input guys.

Well thanks ID, if I do well can I take you to Disneyland? You could front page that, Me and FROG at Disneyland and get 5,000 views! Sorry about the OMT thread, now you know it was not about you.

P.S. Yanx + 1 1/2 is -2.26. Pass on that.

Lot of late steady action on Yanx, pay a little xtra now, but I go 50% back on the unit and Yanx to get this middle game. I need a WLW result in this series to maximize earn.

Which run line ID, +1 1/2 or -1 1/2, there were two? OK no Disneyland, let's see a flick, I'll meet you half way. You keep your wallet/purse closed. I am up for Cinderella Man.

Does not matter what run line for the Yanx. Kinda saw that one coming. However Yanx may stay awake one game and hittable Pavano faces unbeaten Morris. I'm thinking premium spot for a bounce as Yanx regained their respect until the next long losing streak. Which may start Sunday. Well, obvious the way to go was to hedge, 50% earn on original. I may play with the run line now.

Now I am in the driver's seat. If I apply yesterday's hedge to my series risk I have Cards and Morris today at +1.50, instead of -1.30 and climbing. So, next, what now? 3 hours to decide. Many options, let it ride, partail hedge, on Yanx +, or Yanx run line. To be honest, this is how I felt it would be, coming into game #3. The Yanx redeemed themselves yesterday, their pride temporarily restored. The Cards were flattened, but still possess that crazy interleague record. And are still the better team. No big unit today, but a hittable Pavano. I think no matter what you have coming in, you have to cap the game today, just like yesterday.

Well that worked out real well. WLW. The Cards were kind enough to win my series bet, for that, I thank the St. Louis Cards for winning another interleague series.

Made a nice hit, plus the hedge game two, plus the opener. Collected all bets. Not bad for a newbie, I may bet this bases some more. All winners this week.
