Well OK this is a stupid post of sorts, but here goes. Stupid posts around here are par for the course anyway.

Well I am playing in the main event at the WSOP this year. So I placed a few future bets at pinnacle on a few people. Not much, just like $50-150 on 4 players. Well then I notice that MY NAME is one of the choices!!!!

Now I do have a rather common name, so I assume that it is another player, but then again, I have never heard of this player other than myself. I have won many a live tournament in Houston and Lake Charles, but obviously it is not me at 12,000 to 1.

But here is the question, what would they do if someone wins the event but WAS NOT their intended person who they put on their odds sheet. LEts forget my name for a moment and take Chris Ferguson, Andy Miller, Ron Rose, Chip Reese, Paul Phillips among MANY, MANY others on their list. Quite a few common names are choices up to 126 different people. But with a projected cap at 6600 players, their could be a few of the same players and pinnacle and other books have NOPT specified middle initials or anything.

Stupid question, I know, but it is a real possiblity. Hell, my name will be in the tourney probably at least 3 times I would presume

Good point, I have never checked to see if I am ranked. Maybe I will do that, but I do have a pretty common last name and a somewhat common first name

you would have had to make some final tables in the big events this year. I'm ranked in the 800s, lol. I've only played 2 events though.

valid question, checking the rules, I would think they would have to pay if they don't specify which "Gary Jones" it is.

I wish that was my name!!:monsters-

Just thinking about it could really piss someone off who takes an offkey player to win it all and someone with the same tournament registered name wins the event.
