with all the drama going on in the main forum, almost forgot to post these plays
Baltimore -124 (2 units)..not gonna be put off by last night, i'm coming right back with Baltimore. I like the way Ponson has pitched lately, and i really think those Balt bats wake up against Ortiz. The middle of this lineup needs to pick up the pace, and I think we'll get that from them today. We'll see what this team is made of after last night's embarrasing loss. I believe!!!
Oakland +106 (1 unit)..believe there is some value to be had today with Zito vs. this beleagured lineup, and I also think that Oakland can hit Ramirez and get to ATL's terrible bullpen. Although Horacio has pitched a lot better, still not convinced about this guy's endurance. I'll take the better lefty, the better bullpen, and right now, the better lineup.
ST Louis -132 (1 unit)...Bounceback game for the Cards against a guy who is "stealing money" right now, Carl Pavano. Like the way Morris pitches at Busch, and it's been a while since the Yanks have taken a series from a winning team. Unit has HUGE yesterday, and The Cards are more familiar, and will definately fare better at the plate today. Big boost for STL if they can take 2 of 3 from BOTH Yanks and Red Sox.
