College - Blue Ribbon, Phil Steeles Annual (out now in stores) and ATS College

Pros - ATS (Seroiusly on both ATS publications), Phil Steeles Pro (Mail only, but free with a coupon inside the college mag).

Marc Lawrences Playbook Annual (combines pro and college) is great for the stat-geeks. Good stuff.

I buy 5 or 6 of each and usualy the best ive found are Street and Smith's. PFW makes a good one too.

S&S gets a big thumbs up for being the first to hit the shelves. At least here it is ... we get so few of the NFL mags tho comapred to what you guys get. Thank god for the internet, eh?

THE GOLD SHEET makes a nice preseason magazine.........plus it is geared more towards the sportsbettor.

ps- Also, on the same subject, the GOLD SHEET produces an outstanding weekly publication that has been a kingpin for this industry for 30+ years. Great in-depth articles on sportsbetting and great stats for the novice and professional sportsbettor! Been a faithful reader for years and in fact, would be lost without it!!

Blue Ribbon is the most thorough.

I think Steele's book has slipped this year. The writeups contains tons of filler and make it at times a difficult read.

Gold Sheet is pretty good and Fish I have always been partial to Gameplan. I have every football annual they have ever published. Joe Del Popolo does all the college writeups and has done a superb job with his analysis over the past 35 or so years.

I like Marc Laurence's Playbook for the pros and Phil Steele for the college. Tough to find in the newsstands, so I usually order online. Worth it, if you ask me.
