i am rarely speechless - but i am now

it was nothing but surreal

to be given some runs and then see sergio pedroza hit a bomb that is still going and put us up 7-2 in B4 sending the corwd into a frenzy and KNOWING we were going to Omaha - and then basically do nothing after that is something i am STILL in disbelief over

i am like a zombie - not believing what i saw and convinced that when i wake up this will all be a bad dream and Ricky Romero will be pitching against the Steroid M0ngers friday night

when you root for cal state fullerton athletics you jusy take it for granted you will experience more than your fair share of tough losses. but that is in every sport BUT baseball. to let THIS ONE slip away - unreal

congrats to ASU for showing more heart than is humanly possible

I can feel your pain, Winky. The Illini loss in the title game stung me very badly, and caused so many what-if questions to go through my head. Being emotionally invested in a team is one of the good things in life. But it usually ends in heartbreak. Oh, the life of a fan.

Winky:

It's nice of you to check in here with your thoughts. I turned the game off when Pedroza hit that bomb. I had to turn it back on just to see if ASU was able to get a "couple" runs back.

I hate to say it but there's next year and I'll be cheering them on then. If CSF meets ASU then I'll be cheering for CSF.

These things happen - man is that a profound statement.

I am a lifetime Baylor fan - So you see I know about these things.

When you get up - taker a look..I still think you have a good feel for college baseball. Would like to hear what you think.

Things could be worse. Think of how Oregon State must be feeling after blowing the same lead to power USC. Fullerton, their the defending champs, but Oregon State's dream may have gone up in smoke last night. Those fans may never get another chance like that again (esp at home) after this year.
