When I place a wager at CRIS to win $75.00 at -110 vig, the software creates a wager at $83.00 to win $75.00. At books that don't round amounts, the wager is $82.50 to win $75.00.

Am I losing money every time I place a wager at CRIS due to rounding?

Thats why you need to figure the math before you make the wagers.

It 's nice to be able to bet what you want, even worse is the wsex method.

I haven't figured out the math to make sure I am not losing money. That is, if I am losing money.

If you're not being able to bet with change figuring in the bet then just round it off to 77 to 70 or 88 to win 80. You have to confirm the wager amount so you see what you are laying before you agree. Any bet with $5 in it will do the same thing at -110.

Sad to say,,, bu the answer is yes,,,, you have to do the math before you press the confirm button,,

Id rather deal with them stealing a periodic .25 cents and get paid in the long run,,,, the VALUE I get from hitting the number before Most anyone FAR out weighs the "rounding" they do, (which I usually can avoid),,

Cris' lines are the First out!!! ,,, if you are a formula player like me,,, its the best book, if your a Steam chaser,,, you will Lose your shirt,,,

Still, not dealing with cents and rounding off seems pretty ridiculous...oh well.

It is stealing plain and simple, and that people look the other way because of who they are is ridiculous. Wasn't Top Cat just raked over the coals for the exact same thing?

Show how "smart" people really are, and how consistant they judge how certain places do business. One of the reasons why I think forums, no matter what their reuptation, are the most highly OVERRATED source of "info" or opinion there area round.

If you look at your history, the cents are shown...they just aren;t displayed on the main screen. they aren't stealing anything

If you bet 100@ 110(all you have so it can't be rounded) and you win, do you get 190, 190.90 or 191 put into your account? If it isn't 190.90 or 191, then it is stealing no matter how you want to spin it.

This thread was dug up from a while ago. I don't have a lot of problem with it. I just have to spend 30 seconds longer to figure out a round number to wager. No big deal. There are ALOT bigger issues with books.

CRIS is a top notch book.

My initial point was that Top Cat came in here and got absolutely crucified for the exact same thing. This thread had 4 replies in it (not counting yours), and none were any where near as vicious as Top Cat had to deal with.

I call em accross the board, not just the new or the start ups. Any book that does it knows exactly what they are doing. 90% of the guys out there that bet with them don't even notice it.
