Pitchers(Baseball Odds) -Quarterbacks(Football Odds)

We all know that starting pitcher is the KEY factor when Vegas makes an odds line for the public. My question is does the starting quarterbacks for each team the TOP factor for their Odds in football?
A pitcher's record is full of the stats that are usefull for determining the winner..do they use the same stats for the quarterbacks?

If I remember correctly, in the past there was a similar thread about this, and I believe some people's answer was center on the offensive line. That then led to other disagreements, in which some of us said the tackles who protect the blind sides for certain QB's were more important than centers........

Too me the only position in teams sports close to Pitcher is Hockey Goalie.

QB, while important, just might not matter.

Trent Dilfer won a SB.

Very good point koidog. But, it also helps to have a defense behind you as Dilfer did.........lol
