Today is a perfect example of what I often speak about.....the media mind games to manipulate our minds and to continue fueling the race game. Further analysis shows their preachings of tolerance and diversity do not sell enough advertisements, so they have to resort to race-baiting.
The stories are not the game, for the media should truthfully report important news to the people. However, their methods and timing of reporting particular stories and images shown are what should be examined. The Jacko trial was not the introduction of these mind games for this has been happening for many years.
I dont know much about the Jacko trial other than it held to the mold of the rich and famous being acquitted. I have done my best to ignore it prior to todays verdict. This evening the first half of the evening news discussed Jacko and showing people partying in the streets after he was acquitted. Of course this is a headline story and should have been top of the news, but the method and timing of other stories were when the fiddler began playing.
After Jacko, the game changed gears and shows pictures from more than 50 years ago of black people being lynched and hanging from trees and bridges. Next, they discuss a pending Senate vote about lynching.
The media continued throwing gasoline onto the fire by discussing the retrial of a Mississippi man that is being charged with the killing of three civil rights workers in Philadelphia, Mississippi in 1964. Pictures were shown of the car being pulled from a swamp and the victims' funerals.
This was not solely the evening television news for the USA Today front section was filled with the above stories and has been for a week up to the Jacko verdict. Thus all the avenues of approach into our minds were overwhelmed by race-baiting news.
Certainly people that have committed awful crimes should be punished. That is not the purpose of this thread and if you have comments along those thoughts, please re-read this thread before posting.
The purpose of this thread is to expose the methods the media uses to manipulate the minds of the American people and others the world over. When more people begin to understand these mind games and filter the manipulation from the facts, the real truth will be more easily discovered.
May we all enjoy the evening. I will do so watching baseball and listening to the Thriller album. Hopefully a buck or two profit will result since I didnt think to play the Jacko acquittal for as I mentioned, I did my best to ignore the trial until the verdict was pending.
