I seem to recall the Astros being around the 400 range last year when they start rolling and played the Pirates. The were heavy favorites in all 3 games and lost two of them.

Thats exactly what a -333 line means. No way that is the case. I saw a -430-450 line sometime the last two years with Pedro on the mound versus Tampa Bay.

Tonight's Minny game is another example why it's just not worth it to lay anything over -160, way too much stress. Minny may win but is it worth sweating a -300 into extra innings? Just seems like many high odds games go just like this one and many times lose.

I think I saw a -450 or more one year with johnson or pedro, and I have seen tampa bay I think beat a -450 fav...would NEVER touch them

The Worst Team EVER

The worst team in major league history won 25% of its games. I think you could send 9 AAA guys out there and win 25% of the time. It's just the nature of baseball where good performance is not necessarily rewarded and bad performance is not necessarily punished. Timing is EVERYTHING in baseball. Yup, I had Minnesota -1.5 (-160) last night and they were impotent. I saw two other -300 or higher favs this year. Johnson lost to TB/Nomo (4/19) and the Twins barely beat KC by one run (4/20). Santana vs. Lima.

All in all, -300 in baseball is a tough way to win money.
