Blue Ice, what is it?

Yeah yeah, make fun of the foreigner.....

I was at the supermarket yesterday and saw these things called blue ice.... they came in different sizes, and funky plastic containers but none said what they were for other than "alternative for ice"

I went online and found many places where i can buy it but none that explain what it is....

So no...if you'd be so kind, can you please explain to me what blue ice is?

UHHHH slimmy.. I think its something used to keep a cooler cool...it is a chemical that you can refreeze after it thaws.... ( WOW its true what they say about CR):monsters-

re-usable ice ( some chemical). Freeze it, use it, re-use it. Good for medical stuff like a cold pack on whatever body part needs it. Put it in a cooler with your food, sandwiches don't get wet, etc.

oh ok ok.....so, it helps keep stuff cold.........it melts back into a liquid, and you can put it in the fridge the next time you need ice *like on the road*

ok ok...very cool.....

glad I didnt put any in my drink last night
