In the past we have not got involved in posters disputes with each other over money. We do not encourage posters betting with other posters, quite the opposite. We try and preach against it. A poster who gets stiffed from another poster needs only look in the mirror and find blame.

although what you say is 100% true, if the evidence seems 'overwhelming' I am of the opinion that the person who took advantage of the 'naive' poster should not be rewarded with continued membership & entry into contests....

of course I do understand that drawing that line would be almost impossible, so of course a 'hands off' approach seems appropriate.

The problem lies in that today it is alan and kruser, yesterday it was dave and john, tomorrow it will be gary and don, day after tomorrow it will be tony and harry, friday it will be sarah and karol, etc.....

We are concerned but I do not want involved.

There are many, many young adults just entering this industry daily and some will most certainly have to learn the hard way. I wish we could police the world, but it is not feasible.

Nothing wrong with your point SS. I understand.

It's a no win spot for the mods. In the end, they would be forced to make judgement based on hearsay and two usually different stories. I would feel a little bit different if the accused was flat out saying, "Yeah, I stiffed him....tough shit", but that's pretty rare.

funny thing is, in this case, that is EXACTLY what alan is saying, simply saying cauz the kid was stupid enough to bet with someone he didnt know, & was stupid enough to get angry, he is not gonna pay him. although kruser needs to look long & hard in the mirror, alan should be man enough to leave this place. Can you imagine? having the gall to post in the RIO contest?

after all, he claimed in the RR thread that if 10 people wanted him to leave, he would do so willingly, well, way more than 10 stepped forward. now he is entering the contests? sheesh.......

but 100% agree, not much MODS can really do about it. but again, this case seems to have extenuating circumstances.

its no different than MadCapper walking around here stiffing several people and STILL entering contests ghosting, bumping his threads etc....and then having the nerve to say he would pay if he won the contest he was in...talk about nerve, if it was in the real world MC would have two black eyes.

Amazing, I wasn't aware of that (I've completely avoided that mess).

Well, if he happened to win, I'd hope that someone would apply a little bit of pressure regarding the prize, but that would result in an entirely seperate mess.

The Mods cant be responsible, but if posters wish to ignore Alan Palmer's posts as a punishment, they would be taking the right aqpproach. The only trouble is, posters have already being doing that for some time.:aktion033

Winbet how you making out with that "60 pitch" system?

1-1 but I have given up as tracking the in-play games was like watching paint dry. Much better and simpler system in play now, FOLLOW BUCSFAN:103631605
