Umpires find pine tar in Brian Donnelly's glove after Nat's manager Frank Robinson asked them to check it. Robinson and Angels manager Mike Scoscia went face to face and almost came to blows as both benches cleared. Angels lead 3-1 in the 7th. BTW Donnelly was ejected for having pine tar in his glove, seems he was doctoring the ball with it. Tsk Tsk.

IN NY here, there is a rumor that the Mets GM called Frank Robinson before the series to tell him the Mets realized he was doctoring against them this past weekend. That's how Frank knew.

If that's true, a pretty bad job by Minaya. Nats lead his division, why give them the scoop on anything?

Koi, how soon we forget. The last few years Minaya was the GM of the Expos.

When the Angels were in town against the Red Sox...I remember Francona being tough on Donnally as well...but it was about going to his mouth when pitching.

And the broadcast team was saying that, the previous team that played the Angels said the same thing about Donnally.

Maybe all these teams have seen 'odd' (too much out of the ordinary) movement on the baseball for a long time minor league pitcher...for the most part of his career...when watching film & playing against him.

I didn't forget that but perhaps Minaya forgot he is now GM of the Mets. He has ZERO to do with the Expos now.

BTW, I don't really believe he would be stupid enough to tip off a team he was trying to beat anyway.

Seems Guillen woulda known Donnally puts crap on the ball.

Koi, basbeall teams want to out cheaters. I don't think they're saying to themselves, oh let's keep this quiet. If a rumor gets started, people will jump aboard. Obviously he was guilty.
