Most likely CWS Final Championship Game: Nebraska vs. Tulane
Considering the paths these two teams have to take, this has to be the favorite for a championship game.
Wouldn't be Surprised to see: Tennessee vs. Texas
With Hochevar going game 1, Adkins going game 2, and Cobb game 3 for the Vols with their offense and Omaha experience, it wouldn't be far-fetched to see them make it. Texas has tons of experience and they expect to be in the national title game every year. They didnt even dog-pile after they won an intense 3rd game victory at Ole Miss, the only team not to dog pile on their way to Omaha. They simply high-fived and that speaks volumes about their confidence. Both teams are at +700 to win the title and I think both are nice plays, only need to hit one of the two.

My Final 8 Team Rankings
1) Tulane
2) Nebraska
3) Tennessee
4) Texas
5) Florida
6) Baylor
7) Arizona State
8) Oregon State

1) Tennesee Volunteers vs. Florida Gators - 2pm ET Friday

(3 units) Tennessee -192
Florida +167

Game 1 - Vols RHP Luke Hochevar vs. Gators Senior RHP Tommy Boss. Hochevar is as solid as any starter in the country and you always know what you are going to get out of him. He's dominant, but he does it consistently. That puts pressure on Florida's Boss to pitch yet another great game. Boss' past two starts have been phenomenal complete games, and he's 4-1 with a sub 3.00 ERA in his postseason career. But he has been hittable over his career, doesn't strike out many batters and relies on his defense to do the work. The Volunteers put up nice offensive numbers and it will be tough for that approach to work against them. The Vols have been to Omaha a few times the past few years, getting relatively deep in the tourney, while the Gators are making their first trip in almost 8 years. The sophomore Gator lineup can be great at times, but it says here they struggle to hit the best pitcher in the country in game 1 on a rough 1st game draw for the Gators.

Note: Tennessee took a critical 2 out of the 3 games at Florida late this year in what was almost critical in deciding the SEC champion. Hochevar faced Boss in Game 1 in an 11-5 Tennessee victory:
Hochevar - 8 IP, 4H, 3ER, 7K
Boss - 4 IP , 7H, 4ER, 4K

2) Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Arizona State Sun Devils - 7pm ET Friday

Nebraska -230 (Parlay Possibility)
Arizona St. +190

Game 1 - Huskers Sophomore Joba Chamberlain vs. Sun Devils Senior RHP Jason Urquidez.

Arizona State comes off a tough task of losing game 1 in Fullerton, and taking the next two to advance to Omaha. Arizona State played near-perfect games and Fullerton played terrible at times. I think that series exposed Fullerton as a fraud, more than it made the Sun Devils as a contender. The Sun Devils have gone about this year just finding ways to lose 3 game series. They get a tough task on their hands here facing Nebraska in a sea of red in Omaha which is practically a home field advantage for the Cornhuskers. Nebraska has been to Omaha 3 of the past 5 years, and their relatively new coach Dave Van Horn has put this program back in Omaha with a strong focus on pitching. Nebraska has 4 quality starters and you have to love them to go deep into the tournament with that many quality arms, their home field advantage, and the 2nd overall pick in the MLB draft in 3B Alex Gordon. Nebraska is playing with a lot of intensity right now and easily took out the Hurricanes in a quick 2 game sweep. With all that being said, Nebraska struggles to put together offense at times and that makes them vulnerable to lose any game they play. For that reason, I can't make a play on them at -230 even though I feel they are a top team in this tournament. I do feel they win this game so they are a parlay possibility.

Parlay +150
Nebraska -230
Tulane -130
