In the biggest font possible, I say:

WOW!

Absolutely fantastic movie. Undoubtedly the best super hero movie ever made, and a movie that may crack my personal top ten of all time.

The direction and editing of this movie is fucking perfect. The movie is "only" 2 hours and 15 minutes long, but with so much is packed in during that time it would seem impossible for it not to appear rushed and chopped to pieces.

This is so more more than an action adventure movie. You delve so deeply into Bruce Wayne's psyche that nothing needs to be explained. Everything about his origins is explained with nothing left for the movie goer to say :? . The best part is that within itself, the movie is believable. It's not like Spiderman where he gets bitten by a spider, develops his powers and the next thing you know, he's wearing his costume. Here, you learn where the costume came from and even how much it costs.

Christian Bale is absolutely phenomenal. I love how his voice changes when he's Batman, which emphasizes the dual personalities in Bruce Wayne. When he's fighting crime, it also allows him to release the anger that he holds inside when he's Bruce Wayne. Everything about this movie makes me wish I could purge all the memories of the previous attempts at Batman, even Tim Burton's vision. This movie should be required viewing for any aspiring director.

If I had to pick a weak point, it would probably be Katie Holmes. I just don't believe she was right for the part, but that may be my anti-Tom Cruise bias coming out.

Go see this movie! Now! On a scale of the price of admission, I give this movie $7.95 out of $8.00.

Again, I have to say:

WOW!

Hey DEAC, were you a fan of the previous Batman movies?

I liked the first one, but it looks amatuerish compared to Batman Begins. As a side note, they ran a trailer of Tim Burton's version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Looks pretty interesting.

I will give it a shot then. So it's not all dark and gloomy like the other Batman movies?

I dunno man, that Charlie & The Choco Factory looks VERY strange to me!

No, it is dark and gloomy. That's the point. Bruce Wayne is a psychologically tortured mess. His Batman persona allows him to vent his anger, and perhaps his slight insanity, against those that he despises most.

This is the story of the origins of The Dark Knight. The "Zowie" and "Pow" Batman of the 60's is long gone.

I was in Chicago last year drinking and the Big Bar at the Hyatt and they closed the road down and there were abunch of cops outside. When I went outside to see what was going on, I was told that they were filming the new batman. Haven't seen the movie yet, but the sceen they were filming was over the river with a helicopter. Not a big batman fan, but would like to see it.

Christan Bale is one of my favorite actors. All because of the movie "American Pyscho". Awsome movie. Leonardo Di Caprio turned the role down and Bale ended up playing the best nut in a movie of all time.

Saw it this afternoon, was quite good!

MUCH better than any of the previous 3 Batman's, the first with Jack is the only one that holds a candle to this one.

Katie Holmes though, is a waste of space..
