He is a great left fielder. I dont know why he's got so much crap for his defense over the years. He's not a gold glover, but he is pretty solid. You couldnt ask for anything more in terms of sabermetrics.

I agree with Funk, Manny isn't as bad as the press makes him out to be, he can at times even be above average out there...its the times he fucks up though, its usually real bad...remember last year when it looked like he cost Boston the series versus NY when his spike got caught?

Thank goodness it didnt cost them! That was fugly!
