Tulane has the better 2 stud starters. Ranked #1, #1 National Seed, they've lost like 9 or 10 games all year. Some feel they've played a weak conference USA schedule and will be exposed, some feel they are the real deal.

Nebraska has 4 solid starters. They both have easier of the draws for game 1. Some feel since the CWS is held in Omaha (Nebraska), Nebraska usually draws huge crowds and fills up the whole stadium in a sea of red, thats a solid home field advantage for them.

They are in opposite brackets, so they both could play each other for the championship.

I think Tulane has the better team overall, pitching and hitting.
I think Nebraska has the deeper pitching staff and that's most important in tournament play, but they struggle to score runs at times.
While pitching wins championships in the pros, it can in college too. But hitting is very important and college, and some teams will just flat outscore you. I think Tulane has a better chance than Nebraska, and they are the better team.

In order to make it to the finals of the tournament, your pitching staff needs to be deep.

If you want to bet on a "darkhorse" bet on Tennessee to win it all. They have Luke Hochevar for game 1, and the rest of their rotation is good and overshadowed by Hochevar. Adkins is a stud, and Cobb is consistent. Their offense is very good, they've been to Omaha plenty of times recently, and they are +700. They swept the #2 National Seed (Georgia Tech), in GA Tech to get here, and they took a crucial 2 out of 3 from the Gators in Gainesville during the year. They play well on the road, even though Omaha is considered a neutral site.
Hochevar can taje game 1, Adkins can take game 2, and Cobb is as good a 3 starter in the country. Then they'll get it back to Hochevar for the championship. Worth taking a look at at +700.

Nebraska is the better team, and they have home field. No brainer.

You can have your opinion, that I obviously don't agree with, and you've seen my reasons why I feel that way. So we really don't have to get into details about it.

But I wouldn't call it a "no-brainer". After all, Tulane is ranked #1 in every poll and they are the #1 National Seed. I think plenty of people will disagree with you, so "no-brainer" is a bit silly. Can't see how it's a "no-brainer" that a team is better simply because they have home-field, which isn't even really a true home-field anyway, they aren't playing at their own stadium. Half of the reason, if not more, of why home-field is important is because of "familiarity", not crowd. I don't completely disagree that Nebraska is a good team, and may be better than Tulane, they just can't score runs and that's a major problem because everyone will have good pitching now.

agree with Chop - and especially Kapper. the Steroid M0ngers have a much easier side of the bracket

Tulane may be the better TEAM - but in this situation - HFA will be HUGE for the M0ngers - and that will help them. the winner of Friday's ASU/M0ngers game will win their bracket

as for the other side - NO CLUE. it won't shock me to see ANY of those 4 teams win the bracket which is why i am staying away from it entirely

Me being a lifelong Nebraska fan will of course say NEBRASKA is the best team but,

dont forget they have never won a single game in the CWS, I am just hoping to beat a hot ASU team and then maybe some more games.
