It's being discussed elsewhere.

It goes like this, my second line isn't WA but I can get it.

Play SA +143 100= 143

and

Det -2.5 -105 105= 100

You're basically betting Detroit not to win by 1 or 2.

If SA wins , you win 38, if Det wins by 3 or more you lose 5, but Det by 1 or 2 loses 205.

I'm not betting it, but seek opinions on it.

It hurts if it misses, it may be a small scalp if combined with a prop of Detroit winning by 1 or 2. It's a lot of shopping for a small return. It's theoretical to me.

I've read about people doing this before, it's not my style. There's a long thread at Fez's site about this started by Sean13. I thought I'd see if anybody here had any ideas about it.

The problem with it is I could only get $500 on the -2.5 -105 ( or +3.5 -105) if I were to do it. Then little is left to gain by buying the MOV prop as a hedge. I just went with +3.5 -105 and SA ml, and over.

Play SA +143 $85/$121.55; DET-2.5 -105 $105/$100 if you have no opinion on game. Then you win $16.55 for SA win and $15 for DET by 3 or more losing $190 for DET by 1 or 2.

So you are risking your total bet for a 7.9% - 8.7% return.

My gut feeling is that this would be a +ve expectation bet. Does anyone have data on season and post season game scoring differential? Wouldn't want to risk too much because of the chance of a total loss.

I never look for these....looks worthwhile (1 middle 2 middle worth mabye 25 cents), but I dont do polish middles.

That sounds like it works. I think the chance of 1-2 point Detroit victory is under 8%. It might be good in CBB where there are tons of games.

Isn't this a true "polish middle"?

No, a polish middle is like +5/ -6 with juice where you can't win, like a bet made in error when you thought it was +6/ -5.

Here your betting Detroit doesn't win by 1 or 2, which they didn't, so this won for those playing it the way an earlier poster structured it. It won about 8%.
