Game is tomorrow at 2pm ET.

I just hammered the Gators +180.


Luke Hochevar will NOT start game 1 for Tennessee. They will start Adkins, who is still a very good pitcher, but he is no Hochevar. Adkins lost against the Gators earlier this year.

Florida will counter with former 1st round pick Alan Horne. Horne has been the true ace of the Gators this year, explosive fastball in the low 90's and a strike thrower. He was taken in the 11th round in this year's draft.

Horne and Adkins faced off earlier this year in Game 2 of the FLA/TENN series, with the Gators winning 18-9.

No I am not calling it a lock of the millenium. I don't think you'll see many more of those now that we're in Omaha and everyone can win any given game. Every play now is based on value.

Like I said...

-Former 1st Rounder Horne vs. Freshman Lefty Adkins
-Gators SEC Champs vs. Volunteers SEC Runners Up
-Gators have a stellar bullpen with sidearmer Falkenbach a 2nd team All American vs. a decent Vols bullpen highlighted by Sean Watson
-Gators Horne defeated Vols Adkins earlier this year 18-9 Final
-Gators with 78 team HR's, Vols with 66
-Gators 4 players with 10+ HRs, Vols with 3
-Vols batting .333 as a team, Gators batting .300
-Vols past experience in Omaha, Gators 1st time in 8 years


I think if the line was Florida -120 give or take 10, this line would be dead on. Gators at +180? Give me a break...easy, easy choice.

Now if Hochevar was starting different story.

Remember, this is Omaha. Every team is legit now. Nothing is a lock. Just playing the percentages now.

I would think we'd see further downward movement in the line closer to game time, dont you think Boxslayer?
