Jordan's Restaurant in DC lasted about one month after Abe unceremoniously showed him the door! My favorite would have to be Shula's Steakhouse!:drink:

While it is hardly the best restaurant around, Gretzky's in Toronto has the best burger I've ever had in my life.

I would recommend eating lightly for a few days before you hit the Amana Colonies because unless you have willpower of steel, you're bound to be carrying a little extra around the waist when you leave. You'll find the German cuisine here served family style, hearty, and yummy. Be sure to try the wiener schnitzel and sauerbraten (my favorite). On the good news side of things, if you visit all the neat Amana stores, you'll be doing quite a bit of walking so hopefully things will even out in the calorie area before you go home
In Amana you can eat at the Colony Cone, the Ronneburg Restaurant, Amana Stone Hearth Bakery, the Colony Inn Restaurant, the Amana Barn Restaurant, and my favorite, the Ox Yoke Inn. Homestead has Bill Zuber's Restaurant & Gifts. Middle Amana has the Pizza Factory & Grill; and Little Amana has the Seven Villages Restaurant and the Ox Yoke Interstate..

Don't worry when you're about to head for home. You can take some of the delicious meats, pastries, and fruit wines home with you. But learn from my experience. Take more than you want, because once family and friends discover what you brought back, you'll probably be expected to share!

Fish,

Is Lee Roy's place in Tampa?

Yes, there are currently two locations.

One is near the staduim(the original), and there other is in New Tampa located on Bruce B. Downs Avenue and the one I frequent 3-4 times weekly.

There are plans for adding 1-3 new stores in the very near future.

Shula's Steak Houses

The clubby atmosphere is just fine when you’re in the mood for a thick, juicy steak with wine. The perfectly grilled slabs of meat are enormous---a 32-ounce prime rib, 48-ounce porterhouse, 20-ounce Kansas City sirloin, even a four-pound lobster. If you can finish the 48-ounce porterhouse, your name goes on a plaque at the front of the restaurant.

I have only dined at the one im Miami and it was excellent. there are others in Orlando, Chicago, Washington, Detroit, Philadelphia, and several other cities.

There is a Shula's in Naple Fla as well. I was just there a couple of weeks ago.

Very good.

My favorite is Fuzzy's #64 in Green Bay Wisconsin

Operated by Fuzzy Thurston - Evrytime I've been in the palce Fuzzy is there.

It's not fine dining, but a cool place.

CAPN - I actually had the lamb chops, about 3 inches thick and cooked perfectly medium rare.
