Sign Up Bonus Denied Due to Having Accts at Sister Sites

I applied to BetGameDay because they have a good rating at SBR and because they are offering a 20% cash bonus with only a 3x rollover. They responded that I was not eligible for the bonus, since I once had accounts at sister sites, Fair Deal and VIP (my VIP account may still be open with a few cents in it).

What's the general opinion here about denying a sign-up bonus because of having had accounts at 'sister' sites? I see nothing at the Game Day site stating persons who have/had accounts at their sister sites are not eligible for the initial sign-up bonus.

Here's their email to me: "We would like to inform you that we found that you do not have any accounts with BetGameday. We did find however that you have previously signed up with 2 of our sister books, respectfully FairDealSports with account id "xxxxxx" and VIPsports with account id "xxxxxx" If you do sign up with BetGameday, you will not qualify for the sign up bonuses offered. You will qualify in any case for the regular reload bonuses."

i don't like that rule......

isn't that similar to Taco Bell not allowing you to use coupon there cause you used one at KFC last week? (both owned by same company)

I'd say part of the reason they have sister sites in the first place (with the same software and more or less the same offerings, lines, etc.) is to trick you into thinking they're different so in case one of the layouts, slogans or names is more attractive than another you'll have a better chance of joining.

They also like taking the bonus back after the fact. They put in on your account, let you play a while, and then when they feel like looking into it (if you're winning, hitting the dogs, asking for a withdrawal or doing anything naughty like that), then they just take it back from you.

VIP group also boots you if you happen to like dogs and shop around a bit for lines. While they have a right to do that, they're effectively posting false lines. They say its a 10c line but if you choose the side that's attractive you'll get booted, so basically they're offering only one side on each game. The juice might as well be 50c because you won't be able to take the other side anyway.

Why these guys are rated A+ at SBR is a total mystery to me and makes SBR look bad IMO.

Far from a top rated book. But they make it worthwhile for the affiliates. There is your A+ rating.

GameDay & VIP

GameDay and VIP are blood suckers, not sportsbooks. You will have your bonus taken away if you prove to them you have a clue. They continue to give the suckers/losers bonuses and re-load bonuses knowing they'll lose it anyway. So really they are offering nothing. Do not send your money to these parasites.

I disagree with the consensus to this point. I have used many of the VIP books. Other than that crappy website layout (like, could you spread out the information a little more, guys?) I think they're okay.

They made it clear to me about a year ago I should just pick one VIP-family book and stick with that so I did (BetonGames in my case).

I would love it if they let me take bonuses at all their books and let me effectively increase my betting limits by placing simultaneous max bets at their books which use clone lines. Hell, I'd love it if they would send me money in a box. But they have some rules. I don't begrudge that.

I've never had them try any hanky-panky with bonuses or anything else.

I find them to be professional. I get some nice opinionated lines on a few different things, I place my bets, my payouts are like clockwork. I would definitely not rate them A+ but I find them to be a nice little contributor to what I do.

I've had limits cut at one shop but use another without being cut under their normal low limits. No problems with bonuses being rescinded and I even got $50 recently as a reward for total action.

You have to relate to the market they are after and not hit them for big bucks. Definitely worthwhile for the smaller bettor.
