Saw a piece a number of weeks back and honestly my initial reaction was that these parents were NOT doing a good thing but after seeing the story, I really am unsure how I feel about this.....
The parents had a son, don't remember his exact age but somewhere in the 12-14 range. They allow their son and a group of about 8 boys play Texas Hold 'Em at their dining room table, every Friday night or every other Saturday night, whatever it was. The reporter asks why this is ok and the parents say the boys do play for small amounts of money but that, that isn't the point of the game, it's an activity/game the boys can do together. The parents say the boys communicate well during play and genuinley interact with each other and that this is good for them. The parents say they are happy they know what their son is up to etc etc.....I think you see the point.....
What do you think?
