Time to bet Yanks yet ?

I think it would be wise to take some of that decent odds on Yanks to win World Series as a defensive move. Randy Johnson is the wild card and He is starting to heat up. You can bad mouth the Yankee pitching all you want but I have been saying all along that the Yankee pitching is better this year than it was last year when they won 101 games. If their defense and Offense gets in gear..... Look out !

NYY still 0-24 when scoring 3 runs or less. The worst in the major leagues. The NYY have the 8th best record in the A.L. They won't even make the playoffs. I was wondering who are these suckers who refuse to believe that NYY are old and have many weaknesses. I just found one.

Could be you could find a bigger sucker by just looking in the mirror. I have Baltimore at + 3250 to win the division so only a real fool would not cover and protect that wager. I took the Yankees at + 800 and I really am not a Yankee fan but I protect my $$ Tell us who you have your $$ on Chuck as all I ever hear from you is who you don't like ! Seems like you dislike everything !

Only the bettors at VIP/GameDay are betting on the NYY. You will lose your ass if you start betting on the NYY. They are a slighly better than average team who are overpriced every time out.

you said last year, but ok, they have him this year, where are they now? sure he is starting to pitch better, but can the rest of the roster keep up?

That is the big question and everyone has a different opinion. Where are they now ? Well I have the Orioles at +3250 to win the division and I am plenty worried so for me the answer is simple ! The Yanks are way too close for comfort !

i'm not counting the Yankees out of the East, because I don't buy into Baltimore for a whole season......but to me Boston is the team to beat in the East....

I am not far from your opinion but let's just put my position a different way. Let's say you put $ 100 on Yanks at 2/1 to win division
Let's say you put $ 100 on Boston at 2/1 to win division.
Let's say you put $ 100 on Orioles at + 3250 to win division.
You have spent $ 300 total. If Yanks win you get $ 300 to break even and likewise if Boston wins. However if Orioles win you get $ 3350 for a nice profit of over $ 3000. What's wrong with this ? I think only a fool would not cover.

NYY are now a MLB worse 0-25 when scoring 3 runs or less. Amazing, or maybe the NYY are not that good.

I don't like +650. NYY have to beat 3 good play-off teams as well as get into play-offs. If they are assured of getting Clemens, then it's good.

That's good if you can get those odds NOW ! TB is out, leaves Toronto ( not worried about them). I doubt you get +3250 on Balt now, so you effectively hedged the bet, IMO.

I have learned to bet good teams when they are down, not when they are on a roll. To answer your question, no you can't get these odds anymore but that is why one must make their wager on futures when and if you can get good odds. The big question here is whether the Yanks are even a good team. I will not take that chance as I don't need to. I have already locked in my profit.
