I suppose I may sound naive but my brother works for IBM. He is a genius when it comes to computer programs. I asked him what he thought about online gaming and he said he could write a program within 10 days and have it up and running that would beat the player virtually 99% while making the results look credible. He says he seriously doubts if any of the software programs in use are actually utilizing true random number generators..Has anyone ever really won any $$ online NET. ??? He is amazed that people really think these games are legitimate...The books spend a fortune for the software..do u really think they need to play fair? If they beat every player for $100 they will make millions per year...Am I far off?
'I'm ahead by luck. A poster ( Holysmoke) got me curious about it. He made a comment about video poker ( didn't know the game). I played some and won a 5K pot ( at Pinnacle).
It got addictive and I knew I was playing a game with negative expectation, so I quit in time.
I'm a 7 year former Vegan and even tended bar there ( locals bar on Fremont). I know what this game does to people. It's not regulated online, even been scammed in LV ( American coin).

Very hard to play serious coin on slots or video poker online...............unlike where in a regulated place such as Las Vegas where the games can be beat with the right skill applied.
Not saying that some positive EV+ games online are not on the up and up..........but.........1. they are hard to find and ........2. they are not regulated.

I admit I drink, but I don't think I called you at 1am, if you have a caller ID saying so, that's irrefutable. I think that was a stray call from elsewhere. I'll check e-mail. I had to look up the number, don't think I would do it at that hour !

2. Most of the software in use is written by 4 or 5 major companies who are beyond reproach. That said there is a well documented case of a minor software company producing cheating software.
3. Apart from Pinnacle all the sportsbooks I have checked use software from one of these reliable major companies. This is not to say I distrust Pinnacle, merely that they seem to have their own software.
4. The only way to win is through the judicious use of bonuses. This was much easier some years ago. I personally have won $50K over a two year period but play only 2 or 3 times a month these days.
