Nebraska VS Florida

The lines are up and surprisingly to me Nebraska is -195 and Gators +177.

Now you all know how I feel about the game but I really thought people would be all over Florida and the line would be a lot closer to even than it is. I think Nebraska wins but at this price?

Lets open a discussion about this game and some research to back it.

The last few years I have made a FORTUNE betting against the OVERRATED SEC @ Omaha - and until I am shown a reason not to do so - I will keep doing it

I like the Steroid M0ngers to win this game - but at this price - NO WAY I could
lay it

Box and I disagree on the other game - I like ASU +115 and he likes the Vols

I saw ASU play last week (unfortunately) and I truly think they are the better team and as the dog - will cash the ticket

Again - it comes down to fading a conference that gets OVERRATED every year because Skip Bertman gives blowjobs to the committee every year to get as many unworthy SEC teams in as he can - and have them get higher seeds than they deserve (NO ONE will EVER convince me Auburn is a BETTER team than Cal Poly SLO - and the Tigers deserved a regional bid over SLO - for it simply is NOT the case - but because of Bertman - the PAPER Tigers got in - and SLO did not)

I agree, I like ASU as well. Tennessee was awful yesterday in all phases of the game. Some of their guys still seem pretty banged up. I did not expect that Tennessee team to come out.

I agree I think the SEC is highly overrated. There is a lot of parity in the SEC and from top to bottom they may be the best but there is no dominant SEC team. Florida is not that good. I wrote a list of their weaknesses. We saw glimpses of that yesterday. I expect we will see much more of it from them. Florida has been on a hitting tear recently. They have beat up some very good pitchers. They did the same during the year but just as often their bats would go quiet. They made mediocore pitchers look amazing. Their defense has been bad. They make some nice plays but turn around and make a routine play look like the most difficult play on earth. They lack depth, both pitching and hitting. They make bad base running decisions. I expected the line to be like -120-130 and I would feel very good about Nebraska. At -200 I cant touch it. Florida is far too inconsistent to bet with.

Surprised you were surprised by the Nebraska line. I'm an SEC man myself, but I'm all over the Huskers in this game, even with the high price. I think Florida is in deep doo-doo today.

I like Tennessee over Arizona St, though. In spite of Winky's prejudice against SEC teams, I feel the Vols are the better team here, and I'm on them.

That's pretty obvious, IMO.

However, not laying -230 juice on a freshman vs. a very good hitting team in this one.
