Wireless Access

Bought a labtop a few weeks back after asking for opinions on this site. Very happy with the Dell I purchased. Got the wireless access point today and couldn't be happier. I'm sitting in the backyard watching streaming horse races. This is what life is about people.

even better is a PDA which you can take basically anywhere and have access to your pinnacle account, updates scores...

TREO 650 does the trick

How do you like the Palm Treo 650? I am thinking of getting one even though I do not need one for business. Is it still worth getting? How does the Palm Treo 650 compare to the Blackberry? Thanks.

I believe so. I have the Linksys system and it is password protected, but I didn't have to put a password in so maybe that's not good.

I live very far apart from neighbors so its highly doubtful anyone could see anything. I won't be making cc purchases wireless either.

I use Youbet. All my bets are offshore but for 150 I get a years worth of unlimited racing. Well worth it if you bet serious money.

What is the connection compared to DSL?. Do pictures and all load up quick? I am so web addicted I hate it when I visit my bro and all he has is old AOL dial up.

Yes, it's the same if your within the range. I use wireless on my laptop and very happy with it. As mention, security is very important. You don't want people sitting outside your window using your service, etc.

Give it a try if you get a chance.
