if you had a choice between .25/.50 blinds or .50/1.00 blinds which in your opinion is better

I have found a ton more idiots and goofs that have no clue at the .25/.50 tables then the .50/1.00 table

its like taking candy from a baby:smoker2:

Small blind NO LIMIT hold'em is currently a license to steal on the internet these days if one has just a little poker sense.

I only wish I had the time and stanima to play more hours................oh to be 25 years old or younger again.

You can find equally bad players all the way up the list Dante. Go to the $5/$10 NL games....you will find same quality fish...just with bigger bankrolls!

Just wish I could avoid being one of the FISH'S every once in awhile...........it would sure help my hourly $$ rate.

Bases, that sure doesn't hold up for me.....

.50/1 is soft, 1/2 is slightly tougher, 2/4 & 3/6 are people with a clue, and I get my ass beat at 5/10.

bases I agree.....and I agree with fish to its nuts why these people are playing
I can go to a NL .25/.50 table with 20$ and walk away about 1hr later with 60 ,its not hard

There are a ton of players at this small limit that buy in for $10 or have under $5 at the table that one can just flat run them over............and when you go all-in with a good hand and they call, you are usually about a 75% the favorite to win.

Keep up the solid play Dante..........glad you found this nugget for yourself.

Here is a pretty hand from about an hour ago. Very loose table willing to call huge bets with average hands, which explains my call on the flop with just an inside straight draw. Figured a big pay off and is proven out by the big stacks call on the river with a hand that is only a winner against a bluff.

Thats a terrible call

ONly if you play poker in a book. There are times to think outside the box when you are playing against players who are willing to pay you off if you hit your hand. If i am playing a tight table i never make that call, but with the big stack who w

Continued from other post...

I knew the big stack would also call the bet and one of them would probably pay me off if i hit my hand. And remember the pot was over 30 on the flop while if only 1 other person called the pot would be over 75 dollars. so i would be getting about 5 to 1 on my money. Not exactly ideal in that spot since the odds of hitting my hand is about 15-1 (actually a little less since i also had runner runner flush possibilites), but this isnt limit poker. My potential win (noting the looseness of the players) was much higher than the 75.

This also doesnt take into account the benefits of hitting the hand and having a big stack or the benefit of having some people at the table thinking that i would always call bets when i have an inside straight draw.
