Pedro goes for the Mets tonight. Anyone see anyway that he can't shut down the weak Mariner offense tonight?

that does mean that the mets would have to score at least 2 runs, something they dont do all that often.

I like no score in the first inning -135. I dont play those that often, but i like this spot

good luck

Only thing about that TN, is sometimes it takes Pedro the 1st inning to get settled in. . That bet would scare me.

Hopefully Pedro comes out with his A game for you

New York Mets (33-34) at Seattle Mariners (29-36), 10:05 p.m.

Probable Starting Pitchers: New York - Pedro Martinez (7-1, 2.56) Seattle - Ryan Franklin (2-8, 4.81)

(Sports Network) - New York Mets righthander Pedro Martinez aims to continue his dominance of the Seattle Mariners, as the teams resume a three-game series tonight at Safeco Field.

Martinez has stymied the Mariners, holding a incredible 13-0 mark along with a miniscule ERA of 1.30. In 97 innings against Seattle, Martinez has allowed only 14 runs while recording 130 strikeouts and just 24 walks. He has a spectacular 6-0 record with a 0.77 ERA (4 ER, 47 IP) at Safeco Field. He's also unbeaten on the road this year, going 4-0 with a 2.43 ERA in five games.

Martinez has been everything the Mets have hoped for this season, losing just once while leading the NL with a 107 strikeouts. In his last start, a 4-3 Mets to the Angels, the three-time Cy Young Award winner tossed seven innings and allowed three runs on six hits. Martinez finished with just three strikeouts and four walks, but did not figure in the decision.

As for the Mariners, they will send Ryan Franklin to the hill tonight. Franklin, who has lost four of his last five starts, has struggled mightily this season, posting just two victories in 14 games (12 starts). In his last start, a 3-2 loss to Washington this past Sunday, the 32-year-old allowed three runs on six hits in five innings.

Franklin has not pitched well at Safeco Field this season, posting a 0-4 mark with a 5.74 ERA in seven games (five starts). In his only career start against the Mets, Franklin last seven innings and allowed three runs on five hits en route to the loss.

Last night, Jamie Moyer threw 7 2/3 strong innings and Ichiro Suzuki homered and drove in four runs to lead the Mariners to a 5-0 win. Moyer allowed only six hits, struck out one and walked three for the Mariners, who have won three of four. The veteran lefthander retired 11 straight at one point, picking up just his second win in nine starts.

Suzuki ended 3-for-4, cracking a three-run homer, for Seattle, which earned its third shutout in June. Jose Lopez, who was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma prior to the game and made his season debut, added two hits and an RBI.

David Wright had three of the six hits for the Mets, who have dropped seven of nine and have scored only two runs in three setbacks during their current 12- game road trip.

Kaz Ishii (1-6) suffered his third straight setback, surrendering five runs, three earned, on nine hits in 5 2/3 innings. The lefthander also struck out five and walked one for New York, which is 1-3 on its current road swing.

Seattle improved to 3-1 versus the Mets in interleague games, outscoring New York 25-1 in the three wins.

The Mets fell to 3-7 in interleague play this season. Seattle moved to 7-6 versus the National League. 06/18 10:50:33 ET

Pedro is 13-0 with a lifetime ERA of 1.30 vs. Seattle in his career.

....guess I should read the whole thread before posting.

my take is...the mets are hitting .216 vs righties last ten games and are 11-19 on the road. I know pedro has been on, but he still needs a few runs on the road to win. I see more value in Seattle +173...good luck all

Ichiro and Winn have owned Pedro. Bret Boone has also done well agianst him. That 13-0 does not accont for all the new faces in the Mariner line-up. Betra has only faced Pedro 3 times in his career and Sexton has faced Pedro less than 8 times. When you have 2 guys at the top of the lineup that was done well against him. Its hard not to take the home team at +170 against a team thats having a hard time scoring runs. The 13-0 means nothing to me. There is just as good of a chance of it being 13-1 as 14-0 and I get +170 to boot.

i think this will be a 1 run game, like the mets, alot of juice but pedro is on fire. heavy bats in middle of lineup should produce 3 or 4 runs tonight against weak franklin. i think its enough to beat seattle. mets 2 units - 180
