Contracts in the off shore world have little relevance. Many people working with books off shore have been shortchanged on agreements with ownership and we all know about players being stiffed. Any agreements with a posting website would be flimsy at best from a mod/poster standpoint. Shrink's sale 2 years ago would be a different matter legally I would expect before any time limitations run out.

I don't know for sure, but I doubt they are all that bound to the Rx legally. Still for anyone to think if the Shrink goes somewhere else that this place will just fold up and die is kidding themselves. This is the home of the most traffic and under the "business first" rule it will remain on top because the businesses that advertise here don't do it because Ken is here, they do it because there are over 20,000 members here and over 1100 people reading right now as I write, even though its not exactly the busiest sports day of the year.

I can't say its surprising Ken or anyone else involved here would pursue another opportunity. This industry is still booming and still has room for a number of other niches. I don't know if there is room for a direct competitor who wants to be RxII, but when I talk to offshore people and people in other areas of the "regulated" gambling world, they all mention just how few people turn to informational sites to make good decisions. They also talk about how unorganized the niche areas are being served. They mention things such as how most of the sites that do get traffic are by and for serious players. BOS doesn't advertise much on these sorts of sites because they don't reach their customer base; just use that example to apply a lot of other ideas out there as to where other opportunities are clearly there. As a result for the vast majority of players they do things pretty much flying blind, which of course gambling operators love. Still they recognize an intelligent customer is usually a more loyal customer so they see it both ways.

RX wouldn't fold up instantly of course, but as time passed on, so would RX members onto the new site(if a new site was that case)

Since you are currently involved here as a writer I understand your public stance on the subject. I respect you very much but to say that people don't advertise here because of Ken is wrong. He is what makes this site seperate from others since most all books have dealt with him beyond the site. A name product doesn't mean anything without it's backbone as I pointed out with some top tier books if they lost their ownership. This isn't a regular U.S. based business where everybody shows up at a building everyday with a product being produced.
This is all about credibilty and reputation for integrity.

I happen to think people would just read one more site. Lots of sites out there, most people read this one first and then spend some time on the others as well. In the gambling world it generally works to the advantage of everyone to have more options around. Look at Las Vegas, by all accounts the Wynn property is driving high play EVERYWHERE. It grew the pie. I think another site might do the same. It will generate more time from more people dedicated to reading through all the sites.

Look I have no guidance from above, from Ken, from anyone on this. I write what I write with no requirements to push any agenda or story, I just do it responsibly and not make crazy accusations/assertions. This is simply the skill of observation and I can tell you most people offshore, while they respect and like Ken enormously, are still driven by paying premium prices for the best traffic. If Ken opens a site that gets 10% of the traffic of the Rx, the advertisers are not going to pay Rx rates for that no matter how much they respect him. Period.

Most books view the traffic here as something they really aren't looking to attract. You read this all the time regarding these posters being sharper than the squares most books are wanting to attract. Having a banner around just keeps their name in the public eye of drop ins. Any site Shrink starts will have instant credibilty (plus lower rates)and could be viewed as a more serious throw back to the origins of this site.

The Rx will be bigger than ever...rest assured this site is and will continue to be the best out there.....too many great people here, the site has grown by 400% over the past year...

Its a shame we have lost two of the Rx's biggest names, we wish them nothing but the best, but to think TheRx is going anywhere, will not continue to have the best contests, and the biggest and best poster base is ridiculous.

The Rx is moving full steam ahead.:103631605
