In your opinion:

Is it fair to make a bet after a couple pitches have been thrown, if the book accepted the bet?

Of course it's okay, as long as both sides agree, it doesn't matter if its the 3rd pitch or 3rd inning , as long as both agree and are aware of the situation.:toast:

My opinion a book that does this is only asking for trouble.

As a supervisor in Vegas, I NEVER allowed a wager to be past posted unless it was on TV and then logged into a SPECIAL TV LOG book.

Oly has been known to take an NBA bet slightly after tip-off. MLB is a little different, first pitch can hit for HR. I say it's the book's fault and should be honored.

Some books monitoring games leave them up while it's scoreless but if you slide in right after a home run and abusive the earlier courtesy of extending betting time then you are taking a shot.

I cant count how many times in my life, I let someone bet a game after post, if the Baseball game was not on TV I would make them tie the 1st inning, Hockey is the only sport I never let anyone bet after post, I never had to ask any of my bosses, they respected me, Football games if its not on TV, I would let a square bet only, I never let wiseguys do anything after post, simply because I cant get a buy back...

MAYBE A BOOK COULD LEAVE ONLY ONE SIDE OPEN (JUST A THOUGHT)

CUBS LEAD 2-0 TOP of 1st vs YANKEES leave only Yankees side open and do this with many games it would probably pay off in long run, I wouldn't put it past some books. Still may be asking for trouble though.

I believe more forms of ingame betting to come in the future also.

Why after just pitches, wait till there is a few on base or even home, lay stupid prices to the mugs and clean up. On Betfair its almost comical, a couple of hits and in steam the jokers taking any price put up.
