After having 24 hours to digest all of this, I believe that many of you are underestimating all of the mods that work their asses off to make this place so great...

I have never worked with a stronger group of moderators in my life, as the ones who are still here...

Also, many posters have formed close ties with others, so that losing two out of thousands of contributors (and we aren't really gone) is really not the end of the world...

As you can see, I am still posting here as I released an NBA play in the APPROPRIATE forum last night...

Lastly, the OWNERS of this site are wonderful people, and I appreciate having worked for them...

Despite what some say, we parted on good terms..

I will always be a part of this site if I am allowed to participate...

Thanks everyone for putting up wth me, as I have made lots of mistakes along the way, yet many have forgiven me...

Hopefully you aren't allowed to participate, unless you can post something that shows you didn't stab these owners in the back.

Maybe Marty ought to get on here and say they left on good terms. You know how to get a holf of him Fish. Then many could actually believe it.

Good luck to both sites , the Rx and Ken and Pete's new venture also! There is plenty of room in this world for competition. Look at McDonald's and Burger King! The more the merrier, I say!

I don't understand all the bashing. Shrink is free to open any business he wants. Its called capitalism and this is still america isn't it? He's the one taking the risk as im sure there was a monetary investment on his part to get it started.
Accrording to this logic if a deli owner for example sells his business he can never open or buy another one???Does that make sense???:icon_conf

You are so right Royalfan! We are all morally and ethically bankrupt! We are human and imperfect! As opposed to you-PERFECT!

Not perfect, but tremendously ethical. Wish there were more like Mr. Parsons around.

The bashing is crazy. So basically, anytime anyone has a successful business, they must retire or leave the industry in which they were successful? I am lost.

I sold a couple of gyms to Bally's and had a 2 year non compete...but you'd better believe THE DAY that was up, I had 3 new ones ready to open. Is that really unethical?

Anytime a new owner purchases something like this, they understand that when the non compete clause is up, any good business person will start another venture and it will likely be in direct competition because this is the industry they know and where they make money. The past 2 years I am sure the new owners have made a great deal of money off the "house that Shrink built". The fact that he gave them 2 years without leaving and helping maintain this site speaks volumes of his character.

Best of luck to you Shrink (and General). It seems to me that not all people are in touch with the business side of things. I can't comprehend how anyone could question the ethics of this decision...especially without knowing what was said between Shrink and the owners not only when he sold, but also when he decided to open his new site.

It sounds very fishy to me. That is why we need both sides to come in here and say they ended on good terms on the outside chance that happened. Perhaps it was handled ethically but I don't think so at this point.

Let's not forget that the RX community is greater than just two posters... Although I esteem General and Shrink dearly, I personally don't come here to post just because they are/were reading... I do it to share with the entire community. I trust the remaining staff will step up and help if ever I should require assistance.

I for one will remain a loyal reader of the RX, as well of Gambling911, and MajorWager, SBR, etc, etc. THERX will continue to grow, as the industry continues to grow. In my opinion, things are looking very bright for the sports betting industry! :103631605

royalfan,

It has been the policy of ownership NOT to post. If you don't believe this ended amicably, then that is your call to make. I can assure you it did and had it not, do you REALLY think I would still be allowed to post here?

Geeze...

The spins are unreal....

P.S.

See Ya'll at the bash too...
