In the Tex/ Ana game they have totals of 8.5, 9, and 9.5. No offers on the 9.5. Can you create an ov/un for 8 ? I want to but don't know how.

I overbet under 8.5 +100 ( on purpose) last night hoping to get a scalp. I can eat a little and buy over 8.5 -103, but would rather offer over 8 and see the game land on 8.

Can this be done ?

yes it can, but there is not enough liquidity in the exchange so nobody really looks at the ALTERNATIVE totals, becauz you have to click on the PLUS sign to expand the menu & see them....

when you say you dont know how? :icon_conf not sure what you mean, it is quite user friendly, just enter in the wager at the ODDS that YOU WANT.... then confirm.... then the odds appear on the other side as an OFFER,

you are right, there is no option for 8, there is only 9 & 9.5. You have to click on the little PLUS sign to see the other 'PRESET' options.

I know about the + sign. So there's not a way to make an 8 ?

I'll look but I usually bet early, I don't think I want anything more.

doug J I always wanted to do an experiment with the Mansion Exchange. do you see for example right now the SF + 1 1/2 -146 for a huge $13,207 ???

that is a Mansion offer.

do you see that? confirm and Ill continue with the experiment...

Are they playing to suckers with -146, when it's -135 in the book ? Are you sure it's a mansion offer?

Was the experiment to offer something like -138 and see if Mansion fills it ?

When the amount is large ( sometimes over 100k is offered) I tend to assume Mansion is offering it. I assume that's what Try is getting at.

its them for sure here is how you know.

Its too late now but if I went in and MADE a market for Arizona - 1 1/2 +145 for any amount say I put in a small $5 (or a big $500 does not matter)

(ie lowering the SF price to -145 on the exchange) here is what will happen

that entire $13,207 would drop from the -146 down to -145 (along with my $5)

its in the software for the big Mansion offers to nudge down the penny if someone comes in and just tweaks the offer but one unit.

My experiment I wanted to do was nudge it down (im the market driver there putting in the wager that brought it down to -145) then have a person buy $5 worth and see if my account gets the credit for it. Or does big brother Mansion get the $5 take of the offer in their account even though I was the offer that made that price lower.

funny thing after I bring it to -145 and bring the prince down for some time if I cancel then the Manson exchange takes that big wager back to -146 right away automatically. you can make it jump back an forth. if you ever like a price with a Mansion number always bring down the total price with a small $1 offer of your won and then buy it at the lower price. 1 cent better.

by the way if I would instead go to a +144 on Arizona (ie -144 on SF) then the Mansion money does not jump the 2 cents, its only my small $5 sitting there at that level on the exchange, but usually in a few minutes they will bring that big money down to that level if the spread is still big enough overall.

thats what I wanted to learn....make sense?

Maybe it only works on sucker offers. This line was 11 cents off the sportbook price. I'd think they would just fill the small bet themselves and leave their offer alone if I'm getting this right.

Interesting post trytrytry

I asked Mansion about this a few weeks ago (after I'd witnessed exactly the same thing) and I have an email reply from them saying that all money on the exchange comes from punters and no bets are layed by Mansion.

The reason I contacted them was because I was convinced that they were automatically adjusting the prices. I layed a bet on a Barcelona game and seconds later the price moved slightly higher than my offer. I then cancelled my offer and seconds later the price returned to where it had been originally. How would a normal punter know that my offer had been cancelled ?

With 0% commission I can't see what Mansion get out of their exchange other than being able to lay their own bets but they deny doing this ?

It would be pretty stupid for a book not to take advantage of mugs, its been happening for 200 years +, so Mansion are no different.

Take their Pistons game Book(decimal) H'Cap +5.5. Mansion are going 1.95 each, yet the highest price on the exchange is 1.86. Dont you think they would like some of that. I know for a fact Betdaq lays on their on exchange and by doing what try suggests drives them mad, a bit like a terrier snapping at your heels.

Just one bit of advice for new people on exchanges, until you become at ease with everything, always read your bet again before confirming.

a regular joe cant change numbers and offers the instant another person does. its Mansion money for sure and its built in the software which is great its the only way to make money there as there are so few other offers, if they are slow to move that number if it drifts duringt he day it can be an overlay, or if they take a stand on a game for big $$$ you can play it for the best price you can find sometimes.
