Philadelphia -1 1/2 (+136) (2 units)...Really bad spot for the Mets to try to get back on track after their crappy West Coast swing. They get to fly cross country to Philly and face Brett Myers. Myers is starting to realize his potential this season, after regressing lasy tr. He has been very good, especially at home, and so have the Philly bats. Mets can't score runs right now, which puts the pressure on Benson, who has been very medicore on the road.
Toronto +105 (1 unit)....Toronto continues to float under the radar compared to the other 3 contenders in the East (Balt,Bos,NYY), and this home doggie line is an example of this. The Blue Jays hope to build off a very nice home win last night, as they face a guy they've had nice success against (Lopez). Chacin goes for the Jays on 3 days rest. Shouldn't be a problem though, he didn't too long last time out, (only threw 58 pitches). I liked Chacin's recent form before that outing, think he rebounds tonight.
Florida/Atlanta OVER 7 1/2 (-108) (1 unit)...Both teams come into this one hitting the ball well, and have guys in the lineup that have fared well vs. the opposing starters. Also think we can get the bullpens involved by the 6th or 7th inning, which is always good with these struggling and below average bullpen. Smoltz will be looking to avenge the "opening day' debacle vs. Fla, but he's been hit hard at times this yr, and Burnett an been an "Over" machine lately. Looks like a 6-5 game to me.
