Well, my day started off wonderfully with an 11th inning comeback win by underdog ASU
Then, just when I thought I had won the Tulane game for sure, I ended up losing after all -- on the last play of the game:WTF:
Now, so far I've gone 0-5 in my 6 MLB games, and the 6th play, the Dodgers, are losing in the 7th:shocked:
Finally, in my write-up for tomorrow's CWS, I carelessly misstated my record on double plays, being 0-2 when I remembered being 2-0:hanging:
It was a stupid thing to even mention in the first place, and then I turn out to be wrong, looking like a jerk.
Sometimes you just wish you'd never started posting in the first place:bowl:
The only good thing about today is that my ego has been whittled down to a quarter of its usual size. My guru told me that public humiliation is good for the ego, and it is true. Well, if humility is good for the soul, I have at least gained something on this day.
And thankfully tomorrow is a new day altogether.
