Wednesday's game happens to be one of my largest plays yet. And, yes, you will have to put up a King's ransom to get it, but the chances of this losing seems extremely remote. Even if Larrish hits another 3 homers tomorrow for ASU, it probably won't be enough to outscore Florida in this game. To say that ASU's pitching is depleted is an understatement -- they are exhausted. The Gators are probably the best hitting team in the tournament, and will tee off on whoever is available from the ASU staff. The whole ASU team has to be emotionally drained from the gruelling victory over Nebraska, and it won't be easy for them to get it up again against the Gators.

Florida -219 (double play)

I am 2-0 with double plays so far. This is the opening line at Olympic and I am grabbing it now in case it escalates. If I get at least a good of a line at Pinnacle when it comes out, I will play it there also. I figure I might as well add to both accounts. Maybe I sound a little too confident, but I step up when I see a big game, and I think I see one.

Hopefully, during the game Wednesday afternoon you will find out why I like this play so much.

Dude,

I hate to be THAT guy who comes into another guy's threads and starts saying things like this. But you're actually 0-2 on double plays, not 2-0. Sorry to do that, I just felt that was very misleading and dishonest of you. If you're actual record was 30-5, and you said you were 32-4, I wouldn't really care as much, because it's splitting hairs. But hitting your double plays at 0% and 100% is quite a bit of a fudge and there is no way that was an accident. I havn't even checked all of your other threads, because I'm too lazy. I was all for you in your corner for plays, now I'm pretty "disappointed" for lack of a better word.

Oregon State +163 (double play) Loss
Tennessee -143 (double play) Loss

Best of luck on the Gators.

Gee, you are right:shocked:

Funny, I didn't go back and check my threads like you did. I simply 'remembered' that I had won the two double plays I had posted, without even checking to be sure.

This is really embarrassing:increible I try so hard to keep an accurate record, too.

To add injury to insult, I went 0-6 in MLB tonight -- one of my worst nights in a long while:monsters-

Oh well. My guru told me that times like this were good for my ego:neenee:

I suppose I should thank you for pointing out my mistake. I will definitely be more careful when it comes to boasting about my record. In fact, I think I must give up boasting altogether. There is just not enough to boast about these days.

Take care, and keep writing those great write-ups:howdy:

Really not a big deal, and like I said, I dont like to be THAT guy. I'm absolutely terrible at keeping records. The only reason I remember is because there are so few of people that post college ball picks, so it's easy to remember how people did. When you started posting those double plays, I was like "Wow he's heavy on these games." So I just casually remembered, not like I'm stalking you and out to get you.

Like I said, best of luck on the Gators.

It was a big enough deal to mention, and I'm glad you did. There was no reason for me to have mentioned the other two games in the first place, even if I had won them, but getting it wrong just reminds me once again that it is stupid to make the slightest attempt to impress others.

So I thank you for pointing out my mistake, and consequently, my foolishness as well. It has been good for me.

You take care.

BTW, not that it is an excuse by any means, but you might find when you turn 60, as I do July 4th, that it can be strangely easy to remember things wrongly.

LOL. I hope to experience that age. At this point my liver has taken a beating from the college years.

Wow. I hope I'm still active on the boards when I'm 79.

My hat's off to you.
