Gambling and Finacials go hand and hand don't they? I think more gamblers would enjoy commodity and futures if they followed it.

Having been a commodity broker i can tell you its almost identical to being a sports better...

Except you can make a fortune in commodities FAST, its more of a sprint than a marathon.

I agree. Comodities are just like in game betting. Stock options are sort of like straight bets. Season wins and future bets are like buying stocks. Money management and discipline/patience will do you well in every one of these.

Ever notice the gamblers mentality?..Will bet a 100 bucks on a 5 team parlay but will bitch about a high electric bill for a week.

I was thinking the opposite. Options are like in-game betting, because if you get ahead at any time, you can sell the put or call. Future bets are like straight bets to me, since it's a one-time proposition. What's interesting to me is the options market, and how it relates specifically to sportsbetting. The market maker is almost exactly like a bookmaker. He is just taking bets on what the stock is going to do. The contract is with him, and not someone on the other side, like when you buy and sell stock. It's really just financial markets bookmaking.
