1-0 ASU in the first...it's early guys...
As expected and written in the write-up, Ball looks rusty 1st inning and I expected ASU to jump on top first in this game. This is one of those games where Florida doesnt have an advantage in the 1st few innings, it's just Gators vs. Sun Devils, but as the game wears on is where you will see FLA run away with it. If they trail in the 5th or 6th by less than 4, I wouldnt be concerned.

The Sun Devils captured their 41st win of the season Tuesday against Nebraska, marking the 27th time in school history that ASU has recorded at least 40 wins in a season. It also marks the third straight season with at least 40 wins.
ASU now owns an all-time 57-31 record in CWS play, trailing only Texas (75) and USC (74) for most wins in Omaha.

Pretty funny. The pitcher stopped the game to point in UFs dugout and complain from glare off a clipboard that UF had in its dugout.
Camera then went to ASU head coach in the dugout, and the moment the camera shifted to him he was looking in the direction of UFs dugout and said "F*ck you" loud because there must have been a hidden dugout mic. Then ESPN immediately had to cut away.
LeClerc gets off the shnide with a double over the left fielders head. If he gets hot its another bat in the lineup. Dickey grounds out to SS and Tordi flies out to CF to end the threat.

Box, thats an excellent point about the sun. Both of these teams are used to lots of sun however. Ive lived in Florida all my life, and you learn to deal with it. Fun Fact: Adam Davis closed important games in highschool, where he usually played shortstop.

I've lived in Miami my whole life, and of course you learn to deal with it, but regardless the sun drains your energy, dehydrates you, etc. It sucks to stand out there if your a defensive player..standing around. You start looking at your glove, looking in the stands. Defenses love guys who get the ball and work quick, keeps the players involved in the game on their toes, and gets them back in the dugout quicker, etc.

ASU Head coach Pat Murphy starts a player at DH that is in street clothes on his roster in the dugout, knowing that he will not play in the game. Then when the DH comes up in the order, he pinch hits accordingly. If he needs a bunt, he'll "pinch hit" a bunter. But the guy is really starting the game. Interesting.
