Last week on ESPN, I saw a survey with the so called "NBA Experts", and they declared that Tim is indeed the best of all time at his position. I know that a ton of it has to due with the fact that he has two titles. But I do not buy it. Give me Kevin Garnett any day over Tim. Any day. What do you guys think????

I would take Karl Malone as the best power forward of all time.

Cant argue that selection either. As for as active players, I like KG over Tim.

Duncan career avg 22.5 PPG, 50.7 fg%, 12.2 reb
Malone career avg 25.0 PPG 51.6 fg %, 10.1 Reb

Malone's stats somewhat watered down towards the end, expect Duncan to have the same drop

Duncan cost me $1500 in the Skybook promo because he missed his first FT. I hit all the other props. So I vote "NO." The best of all time would have made that gawdam shot.

Pretty good choice hache..i thought of Chuck too...but I thought Karl was just a tad better... and if you consider longevity I would have to say Karl ....lets not forget just how well Malone ran the floor, and he was a great leaper, as was Sir Charles.

What is Barkley really, 6-4 tops?

Yeah J, Barkley is only about 6-4 and played the power forward positon. That's why I would choose him. He or Malone though as you said. Let's not start judging by stats too soon. Remember, Duncan & Garnett's career stats will diminish when as they get a little older......

I would still take Duncan because the stats you can't measure is his defensive skills as in shotblocking and preventing opponents from scoring. Duncan has always been the anchor one of the best defensive teams ever. Karl is not a great shotblocker and never had the defensive prowess of Duncan. The game is played on both sides of the court. Garnett and Duncan are the only two that can stand up next to each other in comparison. I give the slight edge to Duncan. He does have the rings to back it up too.

I'd definitely take Barkley and Malone over Duncan. Legends of the game. Duncan will not be brought up in the same sentence as them.

Really don't think Garnett should be in that group. He has been a one man team his whole career, which has a lot to do with his numbers, which is deceiving......

I think Duncan deserves to be mentioned as the best PF ever. While it is obviously up for debate and everyone will have their own opinion, I could see anyone making an argument for him.

He came to the Spurs and David Robinson was "the man". Duncan stepped right in and established himself as the franchise player.

His game is very "vanilla" and because of that, he doesn't make the highlights. He's not flashy and you won't see him throwing one down in someone's face with his hand behind his head (a la "The Mailman")...you also won't see him hitting on Kobe's wife. He just goes about his business and puts up some of the most impressive numbers any PF has ever seen.

22 and 12 with 2.5 blocks a game for career numbers??? WOW!

I can't see Garnett mentioned with the other three....I think some may be forgetting how awesom Malone was....he didn't have much of a supposting cast all those years other than Stockton.

and for 15 years nobody could stop that pick and roll. It was completely boring but Malone and Stockton executed it to perfection.

Duncan could end up with five or six rings, with most of those teams living and dying with him. I would have to say he is the best ever even though of course I love Sir Charles. Duncan is like Kevin McHale with a lot better defense. Ugly shot, lots of garbage points, ever post up move seen...and potentially a LOT of rings. On top of it never had a great PG to run the pick and roll with. Imagine Duncan with Nash, that would be scary.

That Jazz team was a great asset to the league. Loyal players, loyal coach, good fans. If there was any justice from the basketball gods they would have won one of those titles. Not like the Bulls really needed them all.

They had the Bulls damnit...they should have beat the Bulls, that game where Jordan stole the ball from Malone, I'll never forget that ending.
