Has anyone ever used a tout service? Any advantages?

I know, I know. For the most part, these services will kill your gambling bankroll in the long run. In addition, there were at least 3 great NFL and College cappers on this site that I would put up against any professional.

I am thinking about buying the service from a frequent guest on the travel channel (not sure about posting rules so I will leave name out) to provide more discipline during NFL. I tend to throw back all my winnings on Sunday from my college plays.

Has anyone used a service and found ANY advantages?

By paying a tout, you are INSTANTLY paying what amounts to more VIG.

Very hard to overcome!

But more importantly, 99.8% are no better than what you could do on your own or get for free elsewhere.

I have paid a tout before. But this was a guy posting on another forum who had some silly formular that some how was hitting at a 100% clip (yes i said 100% clip) If you need collaboration i will post the name of the forum and you can go
ask folks on that forum. Anyway the formular worked for about 15 games then it tanked seriously. But i attribute this to the fact that the season was winding down and some teams were just not interested any more.
I still came out ahead because i play the same amount of money on every single bet i place (plus i was slapping money every day on the goldenstate warriors for like the last 20 games of their season).
I also should mention, i was the one who approached the "tout" and offered to pay him for a first glance at his picks before they were posted on the forum..(it got to a level where one of my books was moving the lines right after he posted)

He was only paid if the games he sent me hit over 50%. He was only paid after the results were final. And he was under strict instructions never to send me plays with "STAR" ratings. (they are irrelevant to people who play even money)

funny thing is i dont think touts should be used by amatuer gamblers. One is better of guessing.

Oh and by the way once a tout gets your phone number or email, then you are setup for a life time supply of spam and late night dinner calls.

Touts are 99% scum

It simply does not make sense for some one who has a good record at picking winners to sell their picks instead of playing the picks for themselves

And if you try to help some people out by giving out a legit tout with a documented record...you will be moved to the rubber room. Take the post for what it is. Don't read it if you don't want to. It should not be moved to the rubber room immediately. There are so so so many cutsie posts from people that are meanless for handicapping. I guess if you are a girl and are "real cute" with your posts, its all good, even when it has nothing to do with capping. . So funny how a meaningless post goes on and on cause of some click here.
