Under 8.5 SD/LA (-108).....The Pads went over last night.Theyve gone over in back to back games at Petco once the entire season (in the 3rd and 4th home games of the seaon...vs PIT by a half a run).The UNDER is 23-12 there overall this season.There are more reasons: No Nevin,no Hernandez, and most likely no JD Drew.The LAD are batting only .237 and avg. 2.7 rpg over the L7 and the Padres arent doing much better at .267 and 3.4 rpg L7.Lawrence has been good at home sporting an era of 2.98 (1.14 whip) in 41 ip (5-2 UNDER at Petco).Dessens obviously a worry but hes done alright in his limited action this year.Only 15 ip (all on the road) hes got an era of 2.40 and a .870 whip.I think he'll fare OK today vs a banged up SD team w/ a pitchers ump BHP (Tschida-63.3 strike % and only 273 ppg) in a pitchers park.If he doesnt and the LAD breaks into the BP early we could be in trouble....but I dont think so.
