Still sticking to not posting regularly on this forum, but I thought I might drop by for what is no doubt my game of the year. When I saw the line it blew me away. This line is over a dollar off.

NYMETS +105

$500 for $525

Do not worry about Pedros lackluster career numbers against the Yankees. The Yanks are in big trouble. The misconception is that the Yankees are underachivers. This is not true. They are simply a bad baseball team. Pedro will be sky high for this game. Easy victory. This is my biggest game in several years.

Not sure why this is your "Play of the Year'. I know that the Yanks have been struggling lately, but they always get to Pedro. Mussina pitched a gem last time out. I have no strong opinion on the game, but just do not understand how this game merits a "Game of the Year" tag. But best of luck to you tomorrow night!:103631605

Its tempting to do just that, but thats a bad habit to get into. Always need to stay within your range no matter how good the game is on paper. Never put enough money on a game that makes you sweet. If you are putting enough money to make you nervous, you are betting too much money.

Its my first game this season that my line is a full dollar off the real line. I knew this matchup was comming for several days now. I knew since Tuesday this would be a strong play for me. I thought the line would have been NYM -115.
This would have still been a huge play for me if that were the case, but to make them +107 which is what I got the game for. I posted +105 because that was the line when I made this post.

It seems like everytime the Yankees lose a game the line just gets more and more inflated. The Yankees are the only team I have ever seen where the line goes up insteed of down when they lose. Its seems everyone always thinks they are due to win everytime they lose. People cant get it out of there head that the Yankees really do suck!!!

How long are you people going to keep taking Randy Johnson -250 and up when hes no better than a 3rd starter right now. I really would have loved it if Johnson was starting tommorow. They would have probably set the line at -130 when Musina is the better pitcher.

I really like the under too. I predict a shutout for Pedro, but I hate taking side and totals in the same game.

I just cant wait to see the Yankee fans screeming whos your daddy while Pedro shuts down the 250 million dollar lineup. Pedro is pumped and ready to go. Do not compare this years Pedro to last years Pedro. And do not compare this years Yankees to last years Yankees. Making the career stats meaningless.

If we were talking x*s and o*s instead of Yankees and Mets, I would always be trying to play the side that looked silly last game instead of the one that pulled off the upset. Mets figure to be a very public side.

As usual, I totally agree here. There simply are no sure things. As for the Yankees ALWAYS getting to Pedro, he's 10-10 lifetime against the Yankees, who have been the game's most dominant team for the past decade. But this year's version is nothing more than a drainage ditch for gamblers bent on pissing their money away. Return on Inventment on these guys has been horrendous, by far the weakest team in baseball this year from a Money Line perspective.

Return on Inventment[/QUOTE said:
Inventment? What the hell is Inventment? I meant Investment. Return on Investment, otherwise known as ROI. It's something like -18% on the Yankees this season, meaning if you took them in every game on the ML, you are a major loser so far. The Mets may not win tonight, but the value is with them.

The other night, we got all worked up about the Yanks coming back to win over Tampa Bay, but they lost 3 of 4 to the worst road team in the AL. One game is not a good sampling of how a team is playing.

Good Luck, Chops.

This is not true. The public money as pouring into the Yankees right now. You had a few Mets backers yesterday when the opening number came out, but since then its been heavy Yankee action.

You said you would always play the side that looked silly last game. I guess this explains why the Yankees keep getting the action night after night because the Yankees have been looking silly basically the entire season minus a few hot streaks.
