I have only been to one but seeing the celebration makes me think back 2 yrs. I was in Tampa for game 7 of the Lightning-Calgary series. Me and my girlfriend were so excited it was hard for us to leave even after an hour after the game.

What an amazing feeling for fans. I cant even imagine the feeling for the players after a long season and grueling playoffs.

Congrats Spurs and their fans!

Not of the finals, but plenty of game 7's in the playoffs. They are always special occasions.

Been to a couple game 7 or playoff elimination games of the Av's.....can't be beat. Those are the only games I can justify the 2 bone price tag(face) on a seat near the glass.

Supply & Demand is an ugly beast when it comes to the Av's.

Yes, I believe I have been fortunate to have been to TWO in New York...

Now my memory is a bit foggie so the years may be wrong, but I am remembering the KNICKS winning in 1970 and 1973. One of those games was so awsome because the Captain of the Knicks back then was their Center, WILLIS REED, who came out hobbling but played to upset the Lakers and Wilt the Stilt Chamberlain...

Gosh, I am OLD...

1979 World Series game 7 Pittsburgh @ Balto I was there and ironically that was the last time a visiting team won a game 7 in any major sport....just horribole, the Orioles blew a 3-1 series lead haunting me to this day.

How could I forget #24 Bill Bradley?

But my favorite back then was the other power forward, #22, Dave Debusschere, whose number I wore whenever I played Sports in High School...

I took the LIRR to get to the Garden...

Phil Jackson was awful, lol. He was like their 7th man, at best...

A couple weeks ago a buddy of mine suggested that Mickey be in the HOF..............

HUH???????????

That left me speechless ..........and then into a tirade at the watering hole.

Yes it is journey man, I thought only yankee fans would recognize it and yes he had some very good years with the yanks as a lead off hitter. I know he played for other teams but i only remember him as a yankee, Thanks for noticeing it .

When you look back at Rivers career the numbers were not there and its not even close (for HOF), however he was an electrifying player for what he was....I remember checking his stats month or two ago and was somewhat surprised he wasn't quite as good overall as I remembered...he was a character though and our main rival (NY) in the late 70's early 80's....he had no arm, and a very strange throwing motion, but he was a speed burner, on a ball hit in the gap he was usualy standing on third base...

I remember Mickey would kind of take his time getting up to the plate looking like a 70 year old man , all hunched over and barely moving, until he the ball in play then he was greased lightning....remember he had that strange way he would flip the bat after he swung and didnt make contact? he was quite a character...

Shrink , phil jackson as I remember him was all elbows lol and Dave Debusschere was great, ahh the old knicks makes you wonder whats going on today, how about ernie grunfeld taking a 3 from the corner, all those guys went onto much better things which says what kind of people they were, senators, team presidents etc, good people .

A .295 career hitter..ironically his best year came the year after he left NY and went to Texas...210 hits and he batted .333...also stole 70 bases with the angels before his Yankee days...no doubt about it though he made his mark as a yankee and was a very big part of '77 and '78...

Rivers and then Randolph, that was a pretty darn good one-two top of the order.
