Question for players who support and play at Royal

If you learned that a book like DSI, RIO, Hollywood or any top tier book was now owned by Charlie Therwhanger would you still play there?

For those of you who don't know who Therwhanger is, he was the owner of Aces Gold Sportsbook who closed up shop after the Superbowl and stole over 6 million dollars from players.

IMO, the owner of Royal is far worse than Therwhanger since he has been stealing from people in and out of this industry for years.

This is one of the reasons he can not go back to the U.S.

It's just amazing to me that after all the scamming and the millions of dollars players have lost over the years in the offshore world there are still some that would take chances with their hard earned money.

Maybe the saying is true about a fool born every minute.

This was brought up in another thread and the poster made a good point, why do people bash Royal so freely here but tone it way down at MajorWager? Not bashing you Truth but why not post this thread at a site where they actually advertise and it would concern more people? Likely folks are going to be more interested at that forum since they are an advertiser over there. If anything the Royal bashers have more than made their point over here, seems to be this would help more at a forum where they are actually advertising.

The one that said Shrink was warning people about Royal? LOL. If you post freely at both sites then input/comments on a book that actually advertises at the forum would be the appropriate venue for EVERY thread concerning that book. If you want to post it twice then by all means do it here as well. I just think a site where the posters are always looking to the advertisers and deciding to play there should be a priority for postings concerning that book, especially if you are trying to help other posters. Just my two cents.

By the same token if you are fearful of catching a lot of grief over there then it is probably safer over here, that does make sense if that is the real answer. No sense putting yourself through hell trying to help a forum evaluate it's advertisers.

Yeah that one about Shrink warning people not to play at Royal. If I was fearful of taking heat over there why would I have posted Shrink's warning in the first place. For that matter, I wouldn't have posted anything over there muchless start a thread bashing them. Also, what bigger thread could I have started about Royal other than quoting one of the pioneers in the offshore industry.

If I never said a negative word at MW about Royal then you may have had a point.

McIrish makes a good point.

You don't walk into Burger King and ask the customers "Why do you eat Big Macs, anyway ?".

You don't ask the manager at that same Burger King "Why the hell would you sell Quarter Pounders with Cheese ?".

If you want action, and really want answers to your question, go to McDonalds. Unless you can't stand the heat that you know will be in the kitchen over there.

McIrish---It is really amazing how many daily negative threads we get from posters here at the RX about Royal considering the stance the RX has taken against BetRoyal.

We have HIGHLY respected individuals that have come forward with their concern over the current ownership of BetRoyal by one so called TEJ, plus the consistant nature of the Royal slow pays.

It is very sad that sites that allow Royal to advertise do not allow these issues to be addressed in their forum more freely.

Understand there are posters here that have no qualm with who owns BetRoyal and are happy with BetRoyal, many posters here I have great respect for and consider to be my friends.

However I would hope all these players simply do not just stubbornly ignore these proven slow-pays this book as had and the very questionable owenership now in place and risk more than they should be.

I have had an account with Royal forever and they have never stiffed me yet. Of course I am concerned but I have lots of futures there and I hope they continue to pay. There are plenty of Posters here that have an account at Royal but there really is no point to defending Royal as there are so many negative threads that seem to appear here on a daily basis. Also I have asked numerous times who this Tej guy is and nobody has ever been able to tell me what Sportsbook He used to own. Why is this such a big secret ? Everyone but me seems to know who He is ! He used to own www.scoresportsbook.com and Pyramid casino and sports. Weren't you stiffed by Jeff Pearson, Kermit.

If you continue to play at Royal and get stiffed then you deserve every bit of it.

Yes, Yes, Yes, I was stiffed by Jeff Pierson Of Luckys who used about 10 other Sportsbooks He used as fronts. Thank you for prompt reply as you are the first answer I have received on my question. I only mentioned Luckys and Aces Gold as they are the only 2 that I have been stiffed at. I am sorry that you say that I deserve to get stiffed if I stay and play at Royal when I just told you that I have a lot of futures with Royal. How can I do anything about that other than hope they win and then I will take a withdraw. I can't really close my account now and lose all my futures ! I certainly will report to the World if and when I have a problem getting a withdrawal but all I can do is report the truth. I have never had a problem getting my withdrawals ! Under the circumstances I hope that you really aren't taking the position that if I get stiffed, I deserved it !

Bullshit Fish. There is something about Royal every week at MW on average. The General started one today and its right in the mess hall. Been going on for hours. Long before you made your post.

Its gets addressed. If people still want to play there then they can. Its been addressed over and over as a matter of fact.

Stevo glad to see you post here at The Rx. please don't be a stranger.

I will take this opportunity to say that MW management has very quicky contacted me and offered any help I may need with disputes now that I have taken over for General Pete. I will take them up on it if and when I need it. I hope to be able to work together with all of the Offshore sports gambling forums when faced with player disputes and any other issues that might require cooperation between websites. I applaud Russ and his people for offering a helping hand immediately to me without agenda or bias in any way.

Then you are beating a dead horse. If you feel the need to inform people, take an approach off the forums, because everyone here has already heard it.

People make their decisions on which book to play at for a variety of reasons. To think that adults are not capable of making these decisions is silly.

Furthermore, Russ is backing them with a dime out of his own pocket. Not sure of the current status of Peep's plan, but he was backing them for a long time too. If people feel the risk/reward is still not in their favor, they can take up one of these offers as backup.
