Won with Florida Wednesday -- am going with Florida again Saturday. In fact, I got 2 plays on the Gators.
Florida +187
Florida +1.5 +115
I got this line Thursday night; it has gone down a little since. I watched Texas in all their Super Regional games, especially the 3 against Ole Miss, and I also saw Ole Miss play Florida in their SEC series (won by Ole Miss 2-1), and then Ole Miss goes 2-1 against the same Gators in the SEC tourney.
Texas goes to Oxford and beats the Rebels 2-1. Last game ends with Ole Miss down by one and the bases loaded, but Stephen Head, of all people, strikes out. Texas in CWS. Ole Miss should be there too.
I also think Texas wins this 6 out of 10. Just saw the value with the Gators at +187. I'll take my chances with the guys from the SEC. At this point it seems that either one of these teams could just as easily win, depending on who's hot or cold, or how starting pitching goes. I'd say that Texas actually has an advantage in this series regarding the pitching staff -- starting and relieving. It's just that these Gator bats have seen much excellent pitching this year, and they could just as easily win this game as not. For the price, I'll take it.
I also decided to take the +1.5, figuring that if they don't win, another probability is that they could lose by 1 run. It gives me a chance to score double, or to split if they lose by one.
I've got all the bases covered, except for one of the other probabilities: Longhorns could win by 2 or more
If I were neat and tidy like Box, I'd probably call this a no-play, or a small play on one or the other for action junkies. If I were Winky, I'd probably have a nice play on Texas, figuring they should easily beat any team from the SEC.
But, being the gambling maniac that I am
I'm on Florida all the way.
MLB plays will be posted during the day Saturday.
