Boise State looking to get out of the gate with a stunning upset between the hedges in Athens ...do they have any chance?

Where will this line be at?

Uncharted territority for the Boise State Broncos - "Between The Hedges" at Sanford Stadium in Athens Ga. is a place to tread with extreme caution.

PS. Check out what looks like a section of light blue shirted Tarheel fans in the upper right hand corner.

The one thing I will say is,

1. it takes balls for a matchup like this to take place.
2. finally Boise gets respect
3. what a tough tough tough matchup for boise

Should be a very exciting game ....

They have a chance and I would believe the opening line will be 10.5. Boise has swallowed plenty of chalk the past few seasons, so they will certainly get doggie players nibbling as rare underdog.

Weather in South Georgia is far different from Boise climate for it will be hot and humid in da darty souf! Starting time for this game will be a huge factor in my selection.

I would take the 14.5 plus if the line is this high

no way do I see ga loseing this game

but their is no way ga holds them under 21 pts

I see long scoreing drives from ga running the ball down the feild

bsu will have some big plays to get pts on the board

good luck

If Boise can slow down the Georgia run game at all, I give them a puncher's chance in the first game of the year.

Boise St. will be -7.5, you cant make a team as explosive as them a double-digit dog. Everyone will jump all over them. Hawkins has done an amazing job there and remember last year's team had a lot of sophomores and juniors on there, this year's team should be better and Zabransky (who looked shaky at times last year) is now a junior and with another year under the complex system, should look better. Defense will probably be worse without their leader Avalos. But remember who Georgia's QB is now. No longer do they have the accurate David Greene but now they have the highly inaccurate D.J. Shockley. Georgia only returns 14 starters from last year including a completely new skill position core on offense. Boise St. can definitely pull off the upset here and they'll come close but wont do it. However......next year Georgia has to come to the Blue Field and that is when Boise St. finally gets respect. Predicted score: Georgia 35 Boise St. 31

AC, Dinwiddie graduated in 2003. Zabransky was the QB last year the entire season.

Dinwiddie has been gone for a year. This could be a good spot for a Georgia look a head as they host Steve Spurrier and S Carolina the following week. I am with panther in that I would TAKE 14 points. I can faintly smell college football in the air. LT

Anything under 14, and I'm all over Georgia. Boise may be an up & coming program, but they are a long ways from being able to compete with an SEC powerhouse-especially on the road.

Georgia will rush for 300 yards and control the line of scrimmage in this one making Boise's offense much less explosive on the sideline.
