All kidding aside...Should ESPN actually cover the "SPELLING BEE"

Just saw it on ESPN2 while flipping channels...What have we become:icon_conf a SPELLING BEE a sport on ESPN?


Please educate me how this is a "sport" other then kids in competion with words

ESPN has all those channels and lots of time to fill. So I guess you gotta put something on.

It's either the spelling bee or perhaps they could rerun the same Sportscenter a few more times a day.

I know I watched it, and enjoyed it....much better than watching WNBA for what its worth...

Personally I like watching it. If you get a chance check out the movie "Spellbound". Might give you a different perspective.

Ive seen them do it, they had the coverage of that really crazy girl who won it about 8 years ago, you would know her if you saw it, she sort of put modern day spelling bee back on the map in my opinion. She was wierd.
