The jays walker has been nails 3-0 1.51 era

Nomo for the struggling Rays is 6.51 on top of that the bully for the Rays is a horrid 9.47 L10 while the jays Bully is 2.25 L10

looks good here to me any thoughts would be appreciated

I don't know about this one. Bullpen has been overworked recently and those numbers are not a true reflection of their talents. This is an average bullpen at best, off to a good start.

P. Walker is a journeyman who is really nothing special. He's also off to a nice start but most of those numbers were accumulated while he was in the mop up role. Keep note he can only throw 75-80 pitches which will force the overworked bullpen into action again.

And the surprising effective closer M. Batista worked 2 innings in yesterday's win over Washington.

wow Hpark If I recall a few seasons ago batista ( if its the same one that played for AZ) was sort of a gascan pitcher at times

yep same guy. Was expected to be their #2 starter behind Halladay when they signed him. Struggled, sent him to the bullpen and voila! Now their stud closer!

Don't know how long his success will last. Last year he walked a batter every 2 innings. In 33 innings this year he's walked only 7 and has a whip under 1. 14 for 15 in save opportunities.

Dante, Have you seen him pitch? I am not sold yet. But if it gets to a slug fest Toronto is the side i'd want.

Batista has been well known throughout his career of having 4 quality major league pitches, but for some reason although he's shown flashes of brilliance at times, has just never really been able to get it together and be consistent. This year the Jay's pitching coach cut down Batista's arsenal of pitches to two, as he is the closer and only has to face batters once a game, so he can be more effective this way. So far it has worked out really well and he's been rock solid in all the games I've seen , saving 14/15 opportunities and has been around the strike zone very consistently to this point
