BUFFET RATINGS(EXCELLENT & FORGET IT) AND
THIRTEEN BUFFET SECRETS.
by billhere, Publisher
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
For prices and times of Las Vegas buffets, go to:

**************************************

Buffet ratings are individual opinions based on personal
tastes and preferences. No overall consensus can ever
be reached. It is with this hopeless task that I rate the
twenty best and list the dozen worst buffets in Las Vegas.
The only qualifications I have are that I have eaten at
ALL the buffets in Las Vegas and have a life-long
fondness for buffets.

Please do not e-mail me on Las Vegas buffets. The
following is just my personal opinions. Your mileage and
tastes may be different than mine.

I am only looking at dinner buffets. Not breakfast, lunch,
brunch, weekend champagne nor special buffets. The
buffet also has to take place in a special Buffet Room.
Buffet prices, which vary widely, have NOT been taken
into consideration.

MAJOR NEWS: The new Wynn Las Vegas Buffet has
shot right up to the number one spot.
While dinner costs a hefty $30 per person, the Wynn
Las Vegas Buffet is in a class by itself. It's a "billhere"
Las Vegas must do.
They have elevated the Vegas buffet to a fine dining
experience! Even the décor is exquisite.
Try the superb Chinese Noodle Soup, WHICH IS
WOK COOKED FOR YOU AFTER you have selected
the vegetables and meats or shrimp you want in
your soup. The only buffet in Vegas that cooks
soup just for you and what you have selected.
(Seinfeld fans will note that there is no Soup Nazi here.)
The unlimited shrimp cocktail have the largest
shrimp I have ever seen in them! These two items
alone make up for the steep price of the buffet.
The desserts are to die for. Try the Crème Brule or
the Italian Gelato ice cream or the fresh fruits.

I can’t talk to you anymore, I’m going to the
Wynn Las Vegas Buffet and pig out!!!

THE TOP 20 BUFFETS IN LAS VEGAS, IN MY
OPINION, ARE:

1. Wynn Las Vegas.
2. Aladdin.
3. Bellagio.
4. Paris Las Vegas.
5. Rio Carnival World Buffet.
6. Mirage.
7. Sunset Station.
8. Orleans.
9. Green Valley Ranch Station Casino.
10. Riviera.
11. Fiesta Henderson (formerly Reserve).
12. Main Street Station.
12. Rio Masquerade Village Seafood Buffet.
13. Gold Coast.
14. Palms.
15. Suncoast.
16. Treasure Island.
17. Golden Nugget.
18. Texas Station.
19. Flamingo.
20. Bally's.

THE DOZEN WORST BUFFETS IN LAS VEGAS:
(These are listed in alphabetical order as I would
suggest you do not go to any of them!)

Arizona Charlie's - East & West.
Boardwalk.
Circus Circus.
Excalibur.
Fitzgeralds.
Imperial Palace.
Lady Luck.
New Frontier.
Rampart.
Sahara.
Tropicana.

All the rest of the buffets, not mentioned above, fall into
the large category of "in between the best and the worst".

THIRTEEN BUFFET SECRETS:
1.Don't forget to ask for a line pass, in the casino, if
the line for the buffet is too long.
Any suit will give you one, if the casino has
them.
2. Don't forget to go to the VIP line even with a
2 for 1 coupon or if anybody in your party has
any disability. They are very liberal about this.
3.Then there's the lunch/dinner strategy. Go in just
before the lunch closes, pay the lower lunch
price and wait for the dinner entrees.
4.Leave a $1 tip per person on the table when you are
finished eating and are leaving if the drinks
were refilled promptly and the dishes were
cleared in a timely manner. If not, leave less.
5. Give a $1 tip when ordering cooked-for-you-food
(stir fry, soup or dessert) and you
will get anything you ask for and more!
6. The Bellagio Buffet has a counter or bar inside their
buffet. You do not have to wait in the long
line outside. Just walk right in and say you
are going to the bar.
7.The best buffet when price, quality and variety are
taken into consideration is the one at the
Gold Coast.
8.The best kept secret for seafood lovers is the Rio
Masquerade Village Seafood Buffet (not the
Rio Carnival World Buffet).
. All the lobster you can eat and more!!!
9. Ask the girl that sits you not to put you near the
kitchen door, drink station or front door. No
tip is necessary to give her for a good table.
10. All buffets have an elevator to them if they are
not located on the main floor.
11. It is frowned upon to take food out of the buffet for
later consumption. My mother flouts this rule
all the time and embarrasses the hell out of me!
Don't do it.
12. The drink lady also has a large variety of fruit juices.
13. It is O.K. to leave food uneaten. Just put your plate
to the side of the table and go get another plate
of different food.

I am suprised to see Rampart on the worst list. Never ate there but would have expected that to not be in same class as the trop, sahara, and the cc.

Rampart made your worst list ? I have gone to their Seafood Buffet several times and it would make my top 5 list with Oysters chilled on the half shell and all you can eat crab legs. Fantastic IMO

Agree about AZ Charlie's. That's awful. I used to get free tickets for it all the time. I used to live walking distance to Decatur one, decent locals casino, overall.

How about Elko Casinos? Any buffets there?

Been reading about that Leroy's sportsbook. They must be all over the state, but go under another name?
